Last Minute Deal Discovery Cove?

hi everyone...we are heading down to disney in just 3 weeks

we have 1 day free and i really want to do the dolphin swim/discovery cove...i think i might finally have my DH talked into it!!! but man its still expensive even this time of year and being so close....it will be 289 for me and 2 boys so thats almost 900 plus DH will need a regular ticket so it is almost 1100!!

i guess my question is do they ever offer last minute deals? should i wait to book and hope they do? it looks like no days in feb are full....but i hate to wait and miss out

Its generally just the opposite, actually....prices tend to climb the closer your visit date gets. I booked August 2014 in late October 2013, and our date is already up $30 pp now from what we paid.

The real value in the DC tickets comes when you use the included admission to both SeaWorld and Aquatica. If you get a day at DC (which includes all your food, all your beverages both alcoholic and non, your parking, and a family photo) PLUS up to 14 days unlimited admission at two other parks, that $289 pp seems like a real bargain. But for just one day, without using the other included components...yup, its pricey.

Its an amazing park, though.....and if the budget can swing it, I highly recommend visiting. You won't want to leave!!

You would need to buy one annual pass. Annual pass for Aquatica will get you the discount. It is $96.00 with tax $105. You can buy this at the park or order online and have it shipped. You can phone to book your DC day, tell them you don't have your pass but will be buying it when you get there. Anyhow, it is only for Discovery Cove no other parks, (which I am assuming you want) Here are your calculations right now without the pass.

$289 for the dolphin swim x's 3 = $867
$160 for the resort day x's 1 = $169
Total of $1036

Passmember way

One Aquatica Pass $105.00
3 dolphin swims @ $169 = $507.00
1 resort day @ $99.00 = $99.00
Total of $711.00

So a difference of $1036 - $711.00

Is it the Super Grover pass that you have? If yes, then you can get the same passholder rates that greenclan67 listed (assuming you are not travelling during a black-out period as greenclan provided in the "fine print" above).

Wow. That's $50 a day cheaper for my time. I'm only looking at the Day Resort ticket without the dolphin swim as my son is too young. I just signed up for the mailing list but I wonder if I called today if they'd give me that price?

I have always had success at cancelling and rebooking at the cheaper rate when a special is offered. The DC customer service is really great. I would definitely call and snag the savings!

I just called and asked about this promotion and was told it has to be booked through a link in the original email. They can't book it over the phone.

I may not be able to get the price anyway as I'm Canadian and it references US only. Probably why I didn't get the email about the special. They make it tough for non-US residents to get a reduced price!
