Last-minute costume help

OK, so after finding a good airfare and a great AP rate for the room, I've decided to surprise DD with a long weekend and MNSSHP. (Her school has a long weekend, so she own't miss school.) I managed to get her to pick out a costume without giving away the surprise. She's seen pics of MNSSHP and will be thrilled, but she has no clue.

Now I need a costume! Forecasts are for hot weather in Orlando and I odn't deal well with heat to begin with, so getting one of those floor-length costumes that seem to be everywhere (it's cold up here for Halloween, lol) is not an option. Soooooo, I could use help finding an idea that is:

as cool as shorts and a t-shirt would be
hopefully cheap
fast and easy - not enough time to sew
easy to find what I need

I'm good with something that is not elaborate - I was thinking about one of those humorous Halloween tshirts, but haven't found one yet. With DD dressing up, I'd like to do *something*...... and I know how creative many of you Disers are.

Three Blind mice, grey shirt, grey shorts, sunglasses and a white cane.

A princess.

Hawiian/FL tourist. Gaudy Hawaiian print shirts, leis, camera, tacky socks... the whole bit. A friend of mine will be doing that.

My DH and I are going as a pirate and a gypsy. My skirt won't be too long and his outfit won't be that hot (the pants will be the worst part for him).

The adults in my group are going as sports players from our area. One is going to be going as a member of the Boston Red Sox, one a Boston Bruin and the other a New England Patriot. Pretty much a jersey, hat, comfortable shorts/pants.
