Last minute booking

What is the latest you have booked your resort for ,with your points

Just thinking if you got a cheap flight at last minute how would the DVC work

Still trying to decide if this is the way for us to go

I'm afraid I'm a long-distance planner and have never tried getting my DVC reservation less than than 7 months ahead of our trip.

The only exception to this was when we joined DVC and switched our existing POR reservation to OKW - that was around 3 months ahead of our trip.

The closest I have ever done was about 3 months ahead I think (and that was only because MS cancelled 2 night of my original ressie in error!)

Why not give them a ring and ask? I guess it's going to vary at different times of year though - for example I doubt you would have much luck at the beginning of December when I think all DVC resorts tend to be full.

I got a night at SSR a week before we flew out.

Had booked the flights over a year in advance though!!!

We had already booked our package holiday before joining DVC and decided to try out a 2 bed for our family and my friends family as a very late afterthought.

The latest we have booked everything, (for a last minute trip) was 2 weeks before we left. Checked out space at DVC (couldn't be too picky - infact wasn't too bothered were we here but ended up with we wanted), checked out flights, booked dvc then booked flights and car.

That was July time so don't know if that is classed as a peak time for DVC.

I was suffering from Disney Withdrawal so I planned a solo trip about a month in advance. The week I wanted (mid -october) was difficult, I could get a week but in 3 different resorts, I could have waitlisted but didn't want to risk ik, I got a week two weeks later though with only 1 day on waitlist which came through 2 weeks before I went.
