Last Minute Bank Holiday Trip!

Friday 25th August 2006
Day 1 Travelling to London and Travel Inn stay
Having spent the rest of the morning finishing off packing and going to the doctors to collect medical notes listing the medicines we needed to carry, we finally set off for the train station at 3.45pm to catch the 4.05 train to London Marylebone.

We grabbed a cab to the Travel Inn, dumped our bags and went for a little walk around whilst trying to decided what to do for dinner.
London Eye
We eventually settled on eating in the hotel restaurant as the Chinese restaurant that used to be next to the Aquarium appeared to have disappeared I was gutted as I was really looking forward to it. In any event, the hotel restaurant was ok, my main course was a bit salty so I swapped with DP but the puddings were divine! Charlie had rice pudding, DP had lemon tart and I had fruit and marshmallow kebabs with chocolate sauce yummy!
Back to the room for showers and tv before bedding down for a good nights rest.
