Last minute availability

Just scored a res for tomorrow night at....wait for it...Grand Floridian in a studio w a lake view! Unbelievable luck. I never thought we would be able to stay there without booking 7 months out during slow season. So we will be hopping on a plane down to sunny Orlando tomorrow morning to escape this 40* weather w rain here in Baltimore. The only sad part is we will be coming home Saturday (i work for southwest so we fly for free. And so do your bags lol).
I was starting to think there was never going to be last minute availability at any resort with the influx of new members from aulani and grand Cali. There's still hope!

That is great!
My friend use to work for TWA and her mother worked for I believe Hilton.
She would fly all over the world and stay for free.
TWA for her flights and Hilton for hotels. She took full advantage while she could. I even got upgraded on my flight for my honeymoon on TWA to Hawaii from business to First Class....ahhhh that was nice.

I do believe there are more pockets of last minute availability tn an these boards would indicate, but finding those pockets require some flexibility and a good bit of luck.
