Last Minute at Vero?? Need Help!

OK I need some advice. DW has sprung a request on me I'm trying to fulfill. We would like to go to VB this weekend (That's right...sigh...this weekend...May 11/12). MS, of course, says there is no availability on points. They only have Friday availble for cash. Here are my questions:

1) Do the DisneyClub and Annual Passholder's lines have their own set of rooms to sell at their rates, or are they the same rooms that MS says are all sold out?
2) Is there any advantage to calling the resort directly to check for last minute cancelations?
3) Any other suggestions?

Call the Disney Club and/or the AP line. I believe they are working from a different inventory of rooms and may have a price that beats the 25% off rack rate member discount. (It is Mother's Day this weekend so it may be busy.)

I say try all your options. Once we called MS and they said there were no rooms available at DxL. So we call the resort direct and got a room for cash. It was also a last minute idea. Good luck!

Thanks All! So far no luck, but I'll keep trying. DC had no rooms available. Niether did the AP line. I'll try the resort directly next. If I learn any new "techniques" I'll post a follow-up.
