Last min cruise passenger cancelation.

I was questioning what would happen if if there was a last minute cancelation of one passenger in same stateroom, what would happen?

Since the Disney plus saving. This is the scenario.

Cruise is booked for 3 adults and 1 child in one room would be cheaper using Disney+ ( 3 and 4 sail free) vs 10% placeholder.

Generically let say
#1 is $1000
#2 is $1000
#3 is $500
#4 is $500

Total is $3000
With disney + is $2000
With 10% is is $2700

Say before pay in full date # 3&4 cancel. Only 2 people going now. Am I to assume the cost would be $2000 either way.

So conclusion probably better to book with disney+ promo since it's cheaper up front and at the end. The only nego is it only works for the 4 months.

If that is the case, maybe I need to use that place holder and book something in 2024 to give me some time to figure out what i want to do. Thoughts.

Last minute cancellation of D+ Booked passenger, yes, cruise fare ($0) is lost. You should get taxes and port fees refunded.

I’m not seeing a downside, financially, to doing a Disney+ savings cruise.

If you don’t like the offering - dates, ships, itineraries, then, yes, wait for a different cruise.

It‘s a pretty nifty deal for those who want to sail Disney and can take kids out of school (If Spring Break is late in their school district.)

(But wait until Disney+ booking is over to make that Placeholder reservation. No use waiting on hold with the crowd. But I guess you know that.)
