Last illuminations - anything special?

Do you think there will be anything special about the day/show?
From extra fireworks to merch that is only avail on that day?

Contemplating flying to WDW just for a 3 day weekend and out at the crack of dawn Tuesday (dont have the time off) - figure I can catch the last Illuminations (and the opening of the Skyliner) but looking for extra justification. Of course, I would miss MK and Epoct birthdays, but I cant have it all.

For recent precedent, there was nothing special the last day of Wishes - it was just the regular show. I don't have my hopes up for anything special for Illuminations, but I guess you never know.

For merchandise, they are already selling a small collection of farewell Illuminations gear - the theme/design is generally Mickey blowing out one of the Illuminations torches.

Its personal preference. I'm guessing it will be extra busy. They haven't announced anything special for the last performance, just like Wishes, etc.
As noted the special merchandise is already for sale.
If you're looking for a reason ( as if you really need one), seeing the last performance of Illuminations is as good as any.

Im sure it will be extra busy, but I went down for the opening of Toy Story land and waited for 5 hours to ride slink dog on opening day. Im great at doing stupid things

We signed up for a private event that has activities scheduled throughout the weekend. I’m especially excited for a panel forum/ luncheon that includes some of those who were instrumental for the creation of illuminations. I wish Disney was opting to have special events, but so far nothing.
