Nevermind! Answered my own question. Thanks!!! :)

What type of pass do you have? Annual pass? If it was an AP I wouldn't think twice about spending 3 or 4 hours in the park before leaving, but if I were buying the days w/my package or for my trip it would depend on the $$ difference for that extra day. I have a hard time burning a day (we usually have a 10 day no exp. tix that we work thorugh then get another) for only a few hours. I like to save those days for a fuller day at the park.

If you don't do the park, DTD is a great idea. Or, depending on your resort you could hang out & enjoy the pool (some of them have hanging rooms you can use if you've checked out or arrange for a late checkout). Maybe try one of the mini-golfs? Or head over to the boardwalk to enjoy the stores, restaurants, ride the boat, rent a bike, etc. Ft. Wilderness has the petting zoo and some other activities too.

I agree that unless you have an AP (or extra days on your tickets that are going to expire), I'm not sure I'd "burn a day" for a half-day at the parks.

On our last trip, we had to catch DME to the airport at 1:00. We had a fun breakfast at a resort (Chef Mickey's this trip), rode the monorail around the loop (something the kids had been wanting to do the whole trip), then headed back to our resort and hung out at the play area by the pool.

We had a great morning and it was a really fun and relaxing way to spend the last day. I think it's our new tradition. (Next time, I will keep our swimsuits out in the carry-on. I didn't think it would be warm enough to swim, or that we would have had enough time...but it would have been nice to go for a short swim while waiting. We had fun anyway, but I'll remember that for next time.)
