I read in one of the navigators to ask in Shutters about their last day specials.

Has anyone ever asked to see what it is?

Thanks Lorie

I'm looking at our last day navigator from the 5/15-22 Eastern. Nothing in there about any last day specials. Shutters doesn't open until 5:00 on the last day -- and let me tell you, it is a mad house that night!

It was hard to find again, but in the Western navigators from
4-24-04 Castaway Cay day it says

"Ask about our last day special 8 x 10 Folio Deal" It also mentions buying 4 5 x 7 scenics and get one free or something close to it.

I found this on Barb and Tony's site. It was the only place I found it mentioned.

I think that Shutters may offer some very minor discounts on the last night of the cruise or on debarkation morning. And, as mention, these would most likely be on the package deals.

If you're looking for discounts or reduced prices on individual pictures because the cruise is over, they don't offer anything like that.

The price you pay the first day is the price you pay the last day. That's why I would recommend buying early! Shutters is a nightmare on the last night and last morning.

I think the specials that you are referring to may be the ones that are going on all week...not just the last day. I believe the buy 3 scenics get one free(or something like that) is referring to the postcard type pics of the ship, mckey, Minnie, ect(no personal pics). On my cruise they also had an 8x 10 special...if you bought 3 8x10 you would get the nice fancy portfolio free.

We were on the 5/22 Magic and I was in Shutter's the morning of disembarkment and never heard anything or saw anything in the Navigator about a special. There were some of the specials all week long like other posters mentioned. I bought 4 8x10's and was given the folio and a photo of the ship free and I bought several of the 6x8's and was given 3 free photos of Mickey, Minnie, and the gang in front of the ship. I guess I was lucky because there were not many people in Shutter's on disembarkment morning when I went in. I went in early (7am) so maybe that was why.

I thought they were closed on disembarkment day! That's probably why it wasn't crowded, everyone thinks it's closed. I'll try to remember that the next time. :)

Thanks, I was figuring that it wasn't what it sounded like. If that were the case, then everyone would wait until the end!!

I haven't decided if we are going to get any packages yet. Our son is 13 and won't be caught near a character!!! Typical teenager.

Dh does alot with his camera(s) so we usually only buy the embarkment picture.

Thanks again, Lorie

We bought the package but ended up getting it refunded because we only found 5 of the the smaller pictures we wanted. All of the formal pictures are 8X10 and we had taken our own versions of the character pictures. The only "deal" I saw on our cruise was that if you bought an 8X10, you could get another sheet with a 5X7 and 4 wallets for 19.95. I think that deal was good all cruise long.

Oh, the horrors.......Shutters is the only store allowed to be open in port, so if you've got extra money, that's the only place to spend it!! I can't imagine how awful it would be if everyone waited til the last day....Shutters should be called Shudders....its awful most of the trip......wish they would redo that place....
