1st time poster, so take it easy on me..

While the new FP+ system has definitely grown on me, I'm still disappointed that you can only schedule them for one park at a time though. With the way the system is set-up, it should be able to recognize that your linked tickets have the park hopper option and allow you to select more than one park per day. Seems Disney would love to have this type of info as it's just another level of data for crowd control purposes. But them's the breaks, so no worries.

With that said, I need some help planning a strategy for my last day (Friday, July 31st). Right now, my plan is to hit DHS first thing in the morning then park hop to MK to finish out the trip. This would be our 2nd day at DHS and 3rd at MK. Currently, I have FPs for the big ticket items at DHS in the morning (TSMM, ToT, ST), then plan on seeing what FPs are available at MK once we get there in the afternoon. Both are recommended parks for that day, so crowds should be a bit more manageable, relatively speaking.

Am I going about this the right way? Thanks guys!

Generally speaking, I think it is better to plan FPs for the second park of the day. If you have any headliners you are interested in at MK, it may make more sense to book those and manage TSM at rope drop and then ToT and ST after. There is no one-size-fits-all answer.

I agree. It really just depends on your goals.

If you arrive well before rope drop, you can ride TSM, TOT, and ST with minimal waits.

With it being your 2nd or 3rd day at each, do you already have FPs for very in-demand attractions on those other days? In my case, I'd want a FP for the mine train at least once at MK, then all the Mountains and Peter Pan. If I already had FPs for those, I'd consider it a good start. For DHS, if you have a FP for toy story your other day, I'd consider that sufficient (I like the ride but detest "running of the Bulls" at rope drop). If you haven't secured those (or whatever your own favorites are) that would be my first suggestion to you - pick your FPs for whichever park you haven't already secured FP for your top items.

If you already have those, then I second both PPs and suggest using rope drop to do rides at DHS, then any shows you want, then hop to MK where FPs are waiting for you.

It's a tough call. I struggled with it too. It's hard to know up front what you will really want to do again on your last day. Will you want another FP+ ride on 7DMT...or TSMM.

You could do the TSMM open and dash thing and then hit RNRC and ToT and ST but maybe you don't want to get up early (we didn't). In which cas booking them with FP+ makes sense since that's your 2nd day there vs your 3rd at MK so presumably you've done the MK headliners a few times already and maybe not the DHS ones.

In the end I booked my last day FP+ at MK since were close to it, and for the 10-12 noon time (7DMT, SM and PP). there are 7 in my fam and guess what...5 chose to lay by the pool so me and my 12 year old went over with 4 magic bands and rode them twice each. :)

Even though that is a recommended day, it is summer, so the parks will still be busy. On our last trip, we found MK to be busiest on the Friday afternoon we were there (we also went on a Tuesday and Wednesday).

It really depends on which headliners are more important, HS or MK? And how long you intend to spend at HS before hopping over? And do you plan on staying at MK until park close (lines will gradually shrink as you get closer to park close)? You can hit the HS headliners with either rope drop and/or FP+. But if MK rides are more important, you should save the 3 FP+ for MK because there is no guarantee of what you will be able to get at the kiosks when you get there.

Awesome - thanks everyone! So my girlfriend and I really just wanted to hit TSMM, ToT, and ST (maybe one or two others) one last time before we left. I'm thinking we should be able to accomplish this after rope drop and save the FPs for late afternoon/early evening at MK. Thanks again
