Ordered my card yesterday so thought I'd do a PSA that today is the last day for the TD Aeroplan expanded sign up offers. Helps for getting to Disney!

- First year free,
- 10,000 AMs with first purchase,
- 10,000 AMs after you spend $1,000 in the first 90 days,
- a Buddy Pass you can transform into 30,000 Aeroplan points if you prefer,
- free checked baggage for up to 9 on the same reservation with Air Canada flights, etc.

CIBC has Aeroplan offers too.

Also if you have a TD credit card already, you can "product switch" to the Aeroplan Visa Infinite credit card with no "hard" credit check so your score won't be affected.

Hmmm....I have been collecting aeroplan on the side for two years.

Did you know that you can combine your individual family accounts into one family sharing account?

I did! We haven't done it yet tho. Have you? Is the process straightforward?

Not yet. I think you have to "invite" each member? I also shop using their Aeroplan portal for vendors when I can't use the airmiles shops portal. They also have multiplier events.

I need to check this out. That's a lot of aeroplan miles, plus what we already have!

With my husband and I both signing up, it's enough for a full round trip to MCO for our family of four! :)

That's great! I think I am going to sign up. Why not, it's free for the year. I am going to get DH and DD's accounts merged into mine first. Another thing on my list of to-dos today :)

And free 1st checked bags!

How many points do you need for a florida flight?
It depends! With the new program every seat is up for grabs, and so the points pricing depends on when you book (dynamic pricing). I just booked one-way flights from Ottawa to Orlando for May 2022 for 9,000 each + taxes The norm seemed to be around 12,500 - 15,000 one-way. Happy to look up a specific route/date for you if you want. The new Air Canada/Aeroplan app is quite user friendly.

Thanks,,migjt just sign up for it for 1st free year. Seems little better than the current westjet promo. Might even look at hawaii then

I booked a one-way YUL-MCO flight in Business (okay rouge Business, so not so great :rotfl2:) for Feb 2022 for 18k yesterday, a real bargain. The economy seat was 9.4k

But our 4 economy seats MCO-YUL for March Break 2022 were 22.7k each, so it seems to really vary

Until June 30th, AP bookings are fully refundable, so we've booked now thinking we can change them anytime

I bit. Signed up and approved LOL

Like I need a third major points/miles card in my life right now! Now I am going to merger our three individual aeroplan accounts into a family one, which will be easier to monitor.

Now if I could just USE them for travel I would be all set!

I just set up the family sharing tonight.

You log into your aeroplan account, and you add each member. An email will be sent to each of those people to accept the request to join. You can give permissions to each member on who can make purchases. Who ever sets it up will be the Family Lead (manage the account).

So our account now has just over 11,000 miles, plus the 50,000 I will eventually earn from the new VISA card.

The annual fee pays for itself with the free bags for up to 9 people!

Awesome, thank you for explaining that! I was thinking of maybe making a thread for Air Canada/Aeroplan... They have an e-store with multipliers etc. What do you think?

I'm not sure if many folks on here collect aeroplan? I know it isn't my main points program (right now). It might get lost in the sea of threads that are more popular.

We signed up for the CIBC Aeroplan Infinite Privelege a few weeks ago. The annual fee is astronomical but DH flies Air Canada a lot for work so he loves the perks, and we got a bit of a rebate on the annual feee from being CIBC customers. We’ll get 75,000 points too which is awesome. I used to use Aventura as my main travel rewards card but will use this one primarily now. After experiencing both systems I much prefer Aeroplan to Aventura.

I would appreciate it if there was such a thread.

We prefer Westjet, but we are also trying to increase our Aeroplan points, and sometimes flying AC is the only option, so havign an AC/Aeroplan thread would be helpful. Especially now that it seems they are doing some new things [like the Starbucks partnership].
