Last day of CP Fall session question?

My last day of the program is Jan 2. Does anyone know when my last day of work will actually be and what the last week will be like time wise? My family is coming down to help me pack and then drive home to Indiana and I was wondering when I will have time to pack being New Years Week? Thanks for the help.

My last day is also the 2nd and i was told that my last day would most likely be new years eve

it used to be that it was they could schedule you until 11 or midnight the night before you left... but as of spring advantage 09, all managers were NOT supposed to schedule the CPs the day before they left. They sent out an email to people saying such. I was scheduled, showed it to my manager and he had to take me off.

so... your last day of work (and they WILL schedule you more than likely, will be dec 31st). That means that will probably be working at least a few days before then, too so you can pay your last week of rent.

You will, or should, have off new years day and then you are supposed to be out of your apartment by 11am if your cp ends on the 2nd.

You may or may not have graduation that week, too. My friends in the regular spring program had their graduation a couple weeks before they left, but for me, it was 2 days before i left. You'll get an email about that a couple weeks before graduation happens.

You'll have time to pack everything up.

Just a suggestion: You might consider going through all your stuff now and packing up some boxes full of clothes you may not wear, or other stuff you don't think you'll be using anymore. I started packing up and shipping home stuff about 6-8 weeks before I actually left the program and it helped A LOT.

The current policy of the Walt Disney World Company with regards to Florida-Site College & International Program Participant Departures is as such:

Those Participants with a Saturday departure date will be scheduled Friday and Saturday off their last week of work.

Those Participants with a Friday departure date will be scheduled Thursday, Friday and Saturday off their last week of work.

As such, those Fall/Fall Advantage Participants with a Departure Date of 2 January 2010 will be scheduled to work until 31 December 2009.

Due to the way we handle our payroll, Participants are not eligible for extra time off, nor for Authorized Days Off (ADO) or Early Shift Releases (ER) during their last week of work. Participants who do require extra time off should submit for an Early Release from their programme through established procedures.

Of course, this doesn't apply to those Participants who have been approved for an Extension, who will be scheduled through the Turn Period; nor for those who have been approved for Conversion into an Hourly Role, who will be transferred into their new position during this period and scheduled according to the applicable STCU Guidelines.

I got ER'ed during my last week. My managers told me it was only ICPs that had to work exactly what they were scheduled since they got their pay checks in advance and it wasn't a problem for domestic CPs to get ERed or call in since we still got regular pay

I have never done the CP, but my family has always gone to WDW for New Years. It is a crazy time at the park!
