Last Day leaving baggage Q.

We are staying at Wilderness Lodge ( first time stay on Disney - yay!) and I have worked out that the M E will pick us up around 3-4pm as our flight is at 8pm.
I've read that we can leave the suitcases with Bell services but I have a few q's re this.
Do you then tip Bell services when you pick up your baggage?
Do you check your suitcases when you get them back - the airport checkin will ask whether you have left your bags with anyone? how do you know that they haven't been looked in ? Obviously you can lock them when leaving with disney but will have to unlock on the way home.
How much stuff have you left with Bell services? - I will take my passport and valuables with us into the parks on the last day but don't fancy taking the whole bag with me (magazines,sweets etc.)

Your advice and experiences re this would be gratefully received .
We are aiming to return the car to Disney Car Care Centre the day before so that its not such a rush on morning of check out and we can just dump bags and go to a park and have a TS lunch before returning for ME.

We always leave our cases with bell services on the last day.

We tip the guy that collects them from our room - $1 or 2 per bag. I usually round up as we have Owner's Lockers and a stroller going back to OL for storage.

We then tip the guy that fetches them back out $5 (we only have one case plus 3 carry ons)

We lock the case while it is with bell services but to be honest they are so busy and the rooms are secure I do not worry about it. Our carry ons are all unlocked and have laptops/iPads etc in them.

I would rather that than leave them in the car on show as we always get a 7 seater mini van so there is no trunk to hide them in.

We tip $1 per suitcase or more if they are really heavy, so prob min $5 to bell services on collection. Then the same again when we go to collect them as they will take them over to where the ME picks you up.

We always think about that question, but like PP said it is very secure and we don't worry about it.

We used to lock them but even though we have had the universal type locks that they can open, they have nearly always been broken off and a letter put in the case saying they have searched our bags. So now we just don't bother

other then the normal cases we have left our hand luggage, plastic bags, all sorts of things really. We normally just keep the really bare essentials with us

Loved Wilderness Lodge by the way..We had a room overlooking the quiet pool and could also see the water pageant in the evenings on the lake from there. The hot tub by the quiet pool was always empty in the mornings and they play what I would call 'cowboy music from the movies' while you swim. Loved it...

Don't need to add much to what the previous post already told you but wanted to say that we leave our hand luggage bags with our cases and bell services have taken care of it all, allowing us just to take the day's essentials (+passports, etc) into the parks/to the pool.
