If I read the OP's post correctly, they were using RAC before getting on the DME bus. If so, they certainly did not allow enough time. I have read where you should be at the RAC counter at least 1 hour before your bus leaves in case of a long line.

I usually have bell services pick up my bags approx. 90 minutes before my DME pickup. In addition - I don't even use the luggage check-in at resort AND I only have bags for 4 people (2 of them are kids).

So, IMHO 30 minutes was not nearly enough time.

We learned the lesson this past trip to check in earlier too. We know it was our fault for not getting to the check in line earlier and luckily the airport lines were short and fast, but I'm not going through that again.

I got to the ME spot so early, that I made the bus that came before mine. I would rather wait at the airport. I'm glad that you made your plane, and think you should plan to get to ME place with your luggage earlier.
