Last Day Breakfast Dilemma

Okay, so I have an ADR at CRT which I can cancel. We are spending only 3 days at the park prior to our last day. One of these days is MVMCP and would be our only visit to the MK so I thought we would spend our last day at MK. But maybe not. It is 5 adults and we don't have to leave the Disney area until 5pm. We want to do a breakfast and then spend a few hours at the MK (or possibly other park) but after careful consideration, CRT is sooooo expensive and we have done it before. We don't want to go too early, we will have a car, and we don't want to spend our last day driving all over just to do breakfast. I am interested in Ohana. Would that be a good choice considering all considerations?? Any other thoughts??

Have you done Kona Cafe at the Poly? The Tonga Toast is excellent! We always eat here on our last day, and then take the monorail to MK and even Epcot sometimes!

That sounds like a viable option. Could we leave our car at the Poly? I know you are not supposed to but has anyone done it???

If you dont want a big breakfast then you could get breakfast at the MK Bakery.

I vote for 1900 park fare. it is on the monorail, so you can just hop right on over to MK after. and if you think its too early to go to MK aftter breakfast, then you can tour the GF, walk around by the beach, sit and enjoy the lobby, its wonderful! Kona would be a good choice to, but I'm partial to GF so.....good luck!

Another vote for PF. We are actually doing it for breakfast on our last day. Our flight leaves @ 2:30 and our ADR are for 10:20. We won't be going into any parks that day. Normally I wouldn't schedule breakfast the last day, but it's my DD 7th birthday and I want to make it special. We haven't had breakfast at PF yet, but we the dinner there!

We love Ohana. Especially the fact that the food is served family style. No getting up to a buffet. Can be noisy, lots of excitement with the kids, characters, and parade through the dining room. If that doesn't sound good Kona is another great breakfast spot.

There are a few things I would consider.

First, what time is your ADR? I believe the reservations start at 8:00 am. Now if you have a reservation for 8:00 am, and the park opens at 9:00 (no EMH), then you should be done with your meal around the opening of the park. This would get you into Fantasyland, before others. This gives you a jump on Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, and Peter Pan. When we are in Fantasyland that early, even during busier times of the year, we can get through all of those attractions, usually twice on Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan, within the first hour.

Second, are any of you big Princess fans. We have one in our family, which makes CRT a must. Except for our first visit, I have always gotten a reservation. Sometimes it takes many calls, but I have been successful.

Third, you now get the photo package. During our last visit there, they were giving the photos free, I assume trying it out without the price increase. You take the photo downstairs, and it is delivered while you eat. I love the Disney photos. I think that your party will get two. You may want to double check with WDW dining, but I think that parties of five will get two packages. Since a package runs twenty some dollars, this is around fifty to sixty dollars of photos.

Finally, as far as breakfast food goes, our favorite is the Mickey Waffle, available for about five to six bucks at most resort food courts. I think that the food is very good at CRT, but it is still breakfast food, which should not cost thirty some dollars a person. So if food is your only reason, then skip CRT and have a Mickey Waffle at your resort.

To be honest, being CRT, this is a tough one to decide. If only all of life's decisions were like this.

If you do decide to go to the Poly....yes, you can park there (please, no flames!). We have parked there for breakfast and then taken the monorail to the parks, and our car has been fine. Now...you are not supposed to do this....but, we have never had any problems.

My favorite place to eat breakfast on my last day, especially if I'll be heading to MK for a little while after, is the Trail's End Buffeteria's Breakfast Buffet at the Ft. Wilderness Resort. Great food, awesome service and you can't beat the price anywhere else on property for the meal.
