On our last day, we have a 5pm flight, so figure 3pm pickup. Seems like a good day for a character meal! What's the best morning character meal for a 18mo, 5yo, and 12yo?

I would say maybe Chef Mickey's. It really depends on what characters your kids love. For instance, my dd loves 1900 Park Fare because Alice, Mary Poppins and Pooh characters are her thing. My son prefers Chef Mickey's. We also really enjoyed the Cape May Buffet at Beach Club (Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Chip at that one). There is also the one at th Poly at O'Hana which has Lilo and Stitch. Or are you thinking of going to a park? If so, then Crystal Palace at MK or Donald's Breakfastsaurus at AK are both convenient on park days. If you love princesses then either the one in Norway at Epcot or Cinderella's Royal Table in MK (that one is pricey though, if you aren't on the DDP you pay at the time of the reservation).

I think the best overall character meal for fun and characters for kids of all ages is probably Chef Mickey's. And thats the only breakfast I know of that he is at.

Each park has a breakfast buffet with characters. So does the Poly, and Contemporary

where will you be staying? And will you have park tickets for that last day?

I recommend Crystal Palace. Our kids who were ages 10 and 7 at the time, loved it back in 2004. It has become a tradition for us, so I vote for Crystal Palace.

I would also choose Crystal Palace. We had our last meal there and it was wonderful! The food was very good and the place is beautiful! The characters were wonderful. We had a lunch adr for 11:30am. We left after lunch to go home. It was a great way to end our trip and we are going to end our next trip here too!:)

I would vote for Crystal Palace, if you plan on using a park ticket that day, and 'Ohana at the Poly if you want a non-park character breakfast.

I also recommend CP. Make an ADR for around 8 AM (or prior to park opening)
It's so neat to be there ahead of the crowds; you have Main Street all to yourself! We did it back in March and were done by 8:50 and were first in line for the rope drop for Liberty Square and there were only 6 of us on Haunted Mansion! Same would've been said for any ride in the park!

I think we've found our WDW tradition!

On our last day we always have breakfast at Ohana's at the Poly. The food is very good, served family style. The characters are now Lilo & Stitch, although it used to be the chipmunks, Mickey, and Goofy. They have a cute parade around the restaurant with the kids and characters. Then, we walk down to the pier and catch the boat to the MK. These are our favorite boats and when we stay at the Poly we always ride them. You could also take the monorail if you don't like to be out on the water, although the boats are almost always faster. We spend most of the day at the MK. This year we will have to catch the bus back to our resort because we are at the Dolphin. I can't imagine ending our trip any other way. It makes what could be a sad day, magical.
