Overall we had an awesome time. There were somethings that need improving, and other things that are almost as good as opening day. The resort was so busy, and yet pleasant, and it fills me with hope for the future.

On our last morning, we got up early, packed and went to breakfast. We enjoyed an extramagic hour and basically said our good byes. Due to timings we couldn't fit everything in we wanted (missing the Tram Tour, Rock n Roller Coaster, Armageddon, the Lion King, and the Nautilus). I really wish they had EMH at the WDSP and that the Lion King did not have dark days (also why is the Nuatilus running such short hours, makes me nervous for it's future). We decided not to do the Labrynth, prefering to see it post refurb (though the leapfrog fountains were working).

We had some lucky moments meeting Cinderella with no queue, same for Goofy, and also enjoying a band concert before going to lunch.

We had an enjoyable meal with the uKFAN posse (cannot wait to read their trip report of the last days of the summer season). And headed off home. a quick stop off at the Hypermarket, and some good deals on cases of wine at the terminal, 8 hours later, we arrived home wanting to book our next advenutre to DLP.

Overall we were very impressed as DLP was the closest to Disneyland standards in years, and reconfirmed we will not be heading back to WDW for a while.

I just would like to see a return to greatness for the HNY, and the shopping, a standardisation of hours, and a continuation of live non character entertainment and I will be happy. But the resort is doing very well, the new additions are great quality, and I am cautiously optimistic.

Now, must find a way to get there for the Halloween and Christmas celebrations.

I have just finished reading all installments of your trip. You were quick off the mark getting all that done when you are only just home! I am very impressed. Thanks for a brilliant trip report. I loved all your photos, especially all the details that I usually miss. It has given me loads of things to look out for in future! Where did you see the axe in the log? Your kids are beautiful & looked great in their costumes. I also loved the matching t-shirts on your first day at DLP. It sounds like you had a fantastic time & I hope you can get back for either or both of Hallowe'en or Christmas. Thanks again.

Thank you for taking the time to read and reply.

I forgot to take notes while we were there and I have a really busy week, so I wanted to get it done before getting back to work and the kids off to school.

The axe in the log is in front of Snow White, in the bushes, slightly to the left.

As for the dress ups and dressing the same, yep, we are totally disney geeks :rotfl: :hippie:

thanks again for your reply, was my pleasure. Now when can I get back?

Nice one meeting Cinderella with no queue!!! :thumbsup2

Thank you mommy2ash. This morning I wondered if I had wasted my weekend, but with a comment like that, it made it all worth while. I hope she loves it in real life too!

Thanks.

Mikey is 5. The height restriction is 1.02m for BTM, Star Tours and Tower of Terror (but I would never take anyone under 7 or 8 on tower).

The kids are always into it, but I think it's because they have been going since a couple of months old.

Mikey (age 5) trip count - 14 trips to DLP, 1 Disneyland California (6 days), 1 trip to WDW (12 days)

Jess (age 3) - 10 trips to DLP, 1 DL and 1 WDW

Its our first trip this nov, but planning to go again for his 6th birthday... would go every chance we could if we could afford it!

haha...well would you believe it... just measured ben... 1.03!! haha! so thunder mountain here we come!! haha:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

If you are a first timer, may I suggest you try Ben on Casey Jr 1st. BTM can be quite fast, and Mikey, although he had been on it in California (a milder version), he was quite nervous 1st time in Paris this trip (though he asked to go again when he got off!!!)

oh yes, thanks for the tip. I was planning on building ben up first. he is totally besotted with peter pan, so going to try that out first, and a few gentle ones, then see how he goes! but yes thank you for that.

I've really enjoyed reading your reports (can't remember if I've posted to every one but I have read them) - your pictures are fabulous and there are a few things we've missed over the years - something to look out for when we next go.
