OK Ladies....

Need help with a last song...I want something fun and upbeat...

Any ideas?

I love the one that goes

"Let's dance....the last dance....
Let's dance...the last dance...tonight!!!!"

LOL I'm sure someone knows the name....something like "Let's Dance"... :rotfl:

I'm using "I've had the time of my life" by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, it's from the movie Dirty Dancing. :)

I'm using a song from an old parade at Disneyland Paris. It is one of my favorites and makes me so happy. :goodvibes

It is called "just like we dreamed it." You can listen to it here on youtube. I may be biased (since I am a using it) but I think it is the ultimate last dance song for a disney wedding. :)

Hope that helps!

Call me off beat... but how about Tom Petty's, Mary Jane's Last Dance :cool1:

We're having Time of Your Life by Greenday - might not be updeat enough for you though?

DF wants "Celebrate" by Kool and the Gang cuz they're going to be playing the Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT while we're there. :rotfl:

that's called Last Dance by donna summer

we used 'Hey Jude' by the Beatles (we also used a Beatles song for our 1st dance, so it was fitting) followed by 'Sgt Peppers' Lonely Heart Club Band' .....a quirky 'everybody out!' song lol.

Okay, we're not having dancing, so I'm no help there, but I just wanted to let you know Meg, that the Kool and the Gang version is "Celebration" not to be confused with the 3 Dog Night version "Celebrate" (Which is the song I'm using - and searched high and low for because I was confusing the two....)

(P.S. I'm so jealous you'll be there when they are. I love going to their concerts - but I could be biased... They always sing to "me" :rotfl:)

But to stay OT.... I think both Celebrate and Celebration would be fun last dance songs.

We are doing "All the Things That I've Done" by the Killers followed by "Wishes Exit Music," which goes with our whole "Wishes" theme. :thumbsup2

You're right - it's "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang. Rob's still rooting for it. But we just watched Mamma Mia, so now I'm going for an Abba song! LOL.

Rob's psyched for Kool and the Gang, and I'm all about Better than Ezra. Showing my grungey-alternative roots I guess!

(Well you know they do say that you're the one - the one for them! LOL :rotfl:I'm jealous - I wish I had a Meg song!!)

Our last dance was to Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's Somewhere Over The Rainbow

but the official last song of the night was the closing theme form the original Mickey Mouse Club

Ooh I love his rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow. I am thinking we might use that as the song played at the end of our ceremony, having it fade in as the last of the vows etc are done, then just walk out as it plays.

Our last song will probably be either "The Nearness of You" or "Come Away With Me" by Norah Jones. I think they are mellow and romantic enough to wind the party down. I will leave all the upbeat tunes to the middle. Sort of like a curve, start a little slow, get to real dancing, then end mellow.

Call me way off the beaten path, but me & Kenny used "Closing time" by Semisonic as the last song. :p
