There was a big difference, I thought, in how the two shows were presented...Last season did seem to focus quite a bit more on the goings on within the house, where-as this year seemed to focus so much more on the comedy...I'm not a big fan of "Big Brother" type shows, so maybe that explains why I liked this season more than last...Should definitely be interesting watching them compete against each other

I am so glad that John won!!!

OK, I think this season's group was WAY funnier than last season's. I thought the funniest last year was Dave Mordal (sp?) & he got the boot fairly early. I am looking forward to seeing him again.

I am glad that John won. I have enjoyed him during the whole show, while others have been hit and miss. I can't wait to see what happens on the next show. This should be great watching last years vs this years. Last year show had a few people that I think had enought talant, but overall I think this years is much stronger.

The show was pre-empted in the Tampa Bay area due to the 24/7 hurricane coverage. I hope there's some way it can be re-aired.

Did they identify who came in 2nd and 3rd place? Alonzo then Gary, I'm betting....

I thought all three were consistently very funny. I would have been happy for any of them. But if I had to pick, I would pick John so I'm glad he won! His bit about the wrapping paper roll a few weeks ago just cracked me up...I still think about it and laugh because I could SO relate!

We didn't watch last year's show, so it was the first time we saw the two guys last night. We didn't think either one of them were funny. Were they funnier last year?

I thought Ralphie was funnier last year, Dat Phan was the same amount of NOT FUNNY last year.

I think they purposely didn't show the house goings on this year (since that is what won it for Dat last year). This year they wanted more about the comedy and finding the diamond in the rough... even if the house is mostly filled with professional comics.

Do you mean he won because people felt sorry for him because of the 'hide and go seek'? I think that was the funniest part! I would have never voted for him because of that, cuz I still think he wasn't funny. I guess some people might though.

Last night at Caroline's Comedy Club was awesome. It was Alonzo, Gary and Jay. John Heffron made a special appearance. They were all funny as hell. I met Gary, Jay and John afterwards. Gary is really good looking and very nice. He signed an autograph for me and gave me a hug. I saw him walking about an hour later and he called me by name. It was cool he rememberd my name as he signed hundreds of autographs.
John is so down to earth. He signed autographs outside and made us laugh when he said he couldn't believe that he won and he was on the street signing autographs with a pen while the others were inside signing on tables with markers. We cracked up!! After that we went to Ruby Foo's for more cocktails and Jay came in for a late dinner. We talked to him for about 5 minuntes he's a real nice guy too. It was such a fun night, but we didn't get home until 2:30am so I am exhausted!! Just thought I'd share my experience with meeting these guys.

Thanks for sharing your experience birdiesunshine! It's good to know that they really are nice guys, just like they seemed to be on the show. I am so jealous of you. We have a tiny comedy club here in Lexington, but we never get anyone very good.

Awesome post, birdiesunshine! Although me and BF voted for Gary, I have to say that of the final 3, I didn't care who won. They were all really funny, really deserving, and I thought really humble. The humbleness doesn't matter so much I guess, it just makes them more appealing to me!

I have to completely agree with you. Didn't watch last season's show either, but I thought the final two were lame. The comics in this season were awesome...I used to see John Heffron a lot back when he was just the emcee at Connections Comedy Club in East Lansing. He called himself "the pee guy" because when he got on stage to introduce the next act, people would get up to pee. My ex-boyfriend and I used to think John was often funnier than the headliner...so we NEVER got up during his routine!

So what did you think of tonight's show. I think season 2's comics are better than last years. Even some of the funniest from season 1 weren't that funny tonight. I liked Alonzo, Tammy and John best

Made me crack a smile- Tess & Ralphie.

Funny, made me LOL- Todd, Rich & John.

Made me cry I was laughing so hard- Dave and Alonzo.

I didn't know what to make of Ralphie. At first, I almost thought it was part of his act. Then I knew the tears were real, and I just felt really bad for him.

John was my favorite (got my votes), followed by Alonzo, Dave & Todd. I thought Dave was the funniest guy from season 1 & was so disappointed when the stupid audience voted for Dat Phan . I felt really bad for Ralphie, I can't believe he even performed. lsyorke, when Ralphie came on he said that last night his father died & he wanted to perform a couple of his dad's favorite jokes.
