"Last chance to make changes to yr MB" email - 2 weeks early ?

Hi all,

My resort stay is for Feb 27th. My MDE page says I have til Jan 26th to customize the MB.

Yesterday I got an email saying "Last Chance to make changes to my MB" and that they'd be shipping soon. The email didn't say when "soon" was.

Are the bands still shipping out after the "customize before date" or are some going out early ?

I ask because I am in Canada. I know they won't ship them to me here so my plan is to have them sent to a US address. I have a collegue who does lots of business travel and my plan was to have them shipped to which ever address is most convenient for him. We just don't have his Feb schedule yet. if the bands ship early (I had entered my WDW resort address) this screws up my plan.

I check in on February 23rd and got that "last chance" email about a week ago. My customize by date is January 23rd so it looks like they give you until a month out to make changes. I think the email is just sent early to remind people and the wording is a bit of an exaggeration. I'm expecting an additional email closer to the 23rd but I'm all done with mine anyway.

Don't know the answer to your question but they normally ship them to the front desk for anybody not having a US address. I was just at the Fort and saw several people getting their bands at check-in.

I wanted to customize them a bit - put some glitter or crystals on them. That's why I wanted them shipped to me (early) instead of the front desk (at check in). Plus we plan on going directly to the park (before checking in) on our arrival day so I need the MB for the FP+

My MagicBands were recently shipped to me 9 days before my "customize before" date.

Same here, we check in on 2/25 and over the weekend received an email saying "Last Chance to Customize" bands shipping soon. I have until 1/25 to finalize my colors.

the Magic Band email notification system seems to have NOTHING whatsoever to do with the reality of production and shipping.

We had 4 short trips scheduled for 12/13, 1/5, 1/22 and 2/8. All four trips we received the "good news your magic bands have shipped" AFTER we had already received the Magic Bands.

In fact, that last trip scheduled for 2/8...we received those Magic Bands last Friday...and just got the official notification that they have shipped yesterday.
