Last chance before the current incentives end (9/16)

You will want to confirm but I believe you have to have the contracts already drawn up by the deadline.

I know last year there were reports of people calling the last day and the department that created the contracts closed before they gave the go ahead.

There were no waivers the next day and they lost out. So, if I was interested, I would not wait until the last day since they have fewer people working now.

Ok. While I eventually did receive my contract before the end of the day I asked my guide when to expect the contract and she said to get back with her if not by Tuesday.

I'm getting at the idea that I agree it is smart to not wait until the last minute because DVD isn't even sure it can process same day contracts right now (although they have), so calling Wednesday could be out of luck.

Was that all they had left? 35 points?

I think they actually have plenty of AKL Dec use year. My point was that I called earlier in the week for availability and paid at the end of the week and my guide wasn’t worried they would be gone while I waited to pay. I only purchased 35 because that’s all I wanted for my add-on.

Got it. Thank you.

Every time I flip through the OC sales records I become more convinced that CCV incentives will go away forever this coming week.

Why is that? High sales numbers?

I'm getting 100, but 125 is so tempting because of their pricing structure!

I’d say high-enough sales numbers. I don’t know if they’re out but I’d speculate that they don’t have enough to support the couple months that incentives tend to run for. Combine that with the lack of foreclosure proceedings and they are heading towards running out of points.

I purchased 100 there back when they first opened...in hind site wish I got a fixed week over christmas there. Do the 125 but break it into either a 75 and 50 or 100 and 25. I broke mine into fifty point contracts. I am eyeing RR now but still hesitant with resale restrictions

When a resort sells out, does the resale price go up much (or at all)?
I assume the direct price will go up, as Disney would have to buy back any new contracts they sell... I was wondering if this generally drives up the resale price as well.

They had done that price increase to $220 I would guess just the removal of incentives and thats it. I don't see its price being higher than BLT/POLY/VGF. So what I could see is every resort getting a price increase excluding possibly RIV which just has a reduction in promos. Who knows though maybe they increase RIV by $10/point and increase the incentives by $5/point starting at 125 points.

I have not seen this necessarily but it’s more what is happening on the economy, IMO, that will drive prices,

However, the raising of prices by Disney I think allows owners to raise prices or hold out longer which keeps the floor high,

I sold BWV last October at $120 and sold my second one in Feb/March which was pretty much similar at $115.5.

I contacted a guide at the end of August and am still on a waitlist for Dec UY SSR points. We’ll see if any come available before the 16th.

Disney won’t be buying back CCV for several years in all likelihood. typically Disney is dealing with a flood of contracts coming back via foreclosure or nonpayment of dues for several years after resorts sell out. Disney hasn’t ROFRd Poly in the last 12 months but they’ve acquired over 100 Poly contracts in that time, according to the Orange County records. And Poly sold out several years ago.
