LAST CALL for the 10/18/03 Eastern Magic Cruise!

We're still here, we don't leave until Friday, well actually we don't fly to Florida until Saturday but we're spending the night at the airport hotel because are flight is at 6:50 in the morning out of Phila. Pa and we live about two hours from the airport.

Thanks for the picture.

well, we only live 2 and a 1/2 hours from the port, and we're spending the night at the Rad. just so we can start our vacation as soon as possible. However, before Thursday, I have to get 24 report cards done.

tchrmom -- good luck with all those report cards.:D

We don't leave until 10:30 Friday night. Got my DH all packed and ready. All that's left is our carry-on stuff. I'll pack that Thursday night.

As excited as I am about going, I'm starting to feel a little sad because it'll be over before we know it.

Oh well. Guess that means I'll just have to book again on board. ::yes::

Well everyone. I just watched the Magic sail by the Twin Palms cam. She looked good but she will probably look a lot better next week with all of us aboard!:boat:

Paul

Thanks Spud ! Works fine ! Very neat to see it for the first time !! Too bad there's no vessel to see other than that tanker !
Anyway, I agree- last minute shopping should be left for, well............LAST MINUTE ! Say, Friday night, or possibly Saturday morning !!!LOL !!!!
Getting jittery now ! Can't wait !! Wayyyyyy too excited !

Where in Tualatin are you? We are in Portland - just north of the Sunset at Bethany. This is our first Disney cruise. If you have any words to the wise our phone is 503 259-0297. Any info appreciated.

One day down and 6 to go. Can time move any slower?? Why does it not go this slow while we are on the Magic? Thread got moved to 2nd page, lets try to keep it on the first page. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Good Morning everyone!

I'm up gettting ready to read the Sunday paper.

I'm surprised that none of you East coasters haven't checked in yet. I guess us West coasters are just more excited about cruising!

Lindsay - I got your message and I'll give you a call later this am.

Paul

Paul,
The hyperlink that you posted for the port cam, do you have the full address for the web site ? When i click on the hyperlink, all I get is a picture. It seem s that the camera is a workable camera. I'd like to see the whole site.
On another note, I seen your latest post, and darn near called you this morning. Then it dawns on me....NO, DON'T DO IT !
PAUL'S ON PACIFIC TIME ! IT'S ONLY 6:30 AM THERE !!!
Whew ! That was close ! I actually do have something I'd like to ask you about. I'll wait till later and try to give you a call!

Hey everyone! I wonder, when you get a free minute around the house, do you find yourself staring at your suit cases and wondering what you may have forgotten !!??!! I do ! About a hundred times a day !

Anyone going to be in Orlando on Frfiday afternoon ? At 5 PM, we're going to SkyVenture, to do some free fall flight time, in a simulator of course. Anyone else want to go? Currently, I have one time slot left for 5 PM, and there is 5 slots remaining for 6 PM!
Give me a call on my cell if your interested ! I'll help you arrange the reservations!
Happy Countdown !
Be well,
Les

Still here! Did not make it on the thread yesterday. We were out enjoying the fall foliage, getting pumpkins, hayride and apple farm before we hit the palm trees and warm weather!

I have a really stupid question, but I bought a door shoe holder as suggested on the tips. It hangs with only a hanger. Is there place to hang it on the back of the bathroom door?

I have been doing some errands every day. I think I found the last pair of white sandals in Northeast Ohio:Pinkbounc

I think it will be very surreal to finally get to the boat after all this planning!

I was just curious. Since we are landing on Friday morning, is there any good outlet shopping malls by the airport, or on the way to the Radisson? How far is Disney from the airport? Any neat places to eat lunch around there?

I'm going to have my DW answer your questions. So here she is........

Hello fellow shipmates,
We're going to consult our video on the shoe hanger. I don't believe there is a peg on the outside of the door. There is one on the closet door and one on the wall just outside the bathroom. That's where I hung my organizer.

The airport is about 30-45 minutes from the start of the Disney property depending how you go. Do you know about the express and toll ways? Be sure and have some change. The most direct way to the port costs about $5 to travel. You pay it out in amounts like $1.50, $1.25, etc. so take a roll of quarters then you can zip through and throw the money in a basket with very little slow down. We are always looking for the fastest way to just get there so we can, as my DH says, "Get up and smell the Disney."

So in answer to your question about shopping malls, LOL LOL LOL LOL. You might as well ask about a dentist to get some teeth pulled on your vacation. That's about the same chance as I would have of seeing a shopping mall. Again, DH, "I hate shopping! Have I told you how much I hate shopping? Why would I want to ruin MY vacation with shopping! What do you need anyway...........................(30 minutes later) No.
You can go to the Disney Marketplace. In fact definately plan to go there at least once. They have the most amazing Disney store you'll ever see and lots of Disney specialty shops. There is a Rainforest Cafe, Wolfgang Puck Express and even a McDonalds. Then save room for desert at the Ghirardelli Shop, all things chocolate!!!!!

If you want to head right to the coast there are lots of places to eat in Cocoa Beach, which is just past the Radisson. That's also where Ron Jon Surf Shop is. Another must see. Great place to do last minute shopping for beach/pool stuff. We have some great pictures of our kids with the statues out front.

The Pier, a place with restaurants and shops is suppose to be cool, but we've never been there, only heard about it. I guess it's the hot nightlife spot in Cocoa Beach! Maybe someone else can chime in on these questions and help you out more.

We leave reeeeeeealy early on Tuesday. I can't wait to go and meet you all. As you can see I'm much more wordy than Paul.

Bon Voyage!
Pam (pamelacor)

Well I see that they have finally moved the Port Canaveral camera around to show the Wonder.

Beano and crew should be aboard now. Lucky dogs!

Paul

WOW! Thanks Pam. I had no clue about the tolls. That was a big help right there..... I appreciate you consulting your video... Well, dh probably would say the same thing as Paul, but I can always say." but it's for Calina" (dd) ;) She is daddy's little girl!

I will look up where that Disney store is located. That sounds great!

All shopping is done. Just need to pack. (Tchrmom surveys all that needs packing and wonders how it will all fit). Beano and gang are ready to sail as I type this. I will try to catch them on the twopalms cam at about 5:30. Hope the weather is ok, it has rained here on the west coast of Florida.

I just watched Beano and the gang leave Port and sail by the Twin Palms cam. I hope they have smooth sailing!

Paul

We also watched the port Cam as the Magic took off yesterday. Just think people will be watching us on there next week. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: That's so exciting. I typed up my clothing list and will start packing tomorrow.

Just remembered I didn't pick up a disposable underwater camera for snorkeling yet. What else might I have forgotten:confused:

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I missed the Wonder today. I was busy running the Chicago marathon. It was a great experience, but I am absolutely beat. But, see us old folks can still do something! "Spud, you've run a marathon, what are you going to do next? GO ON A DISNEY CRUISE!!!!"

Rena, I bought a closet organizer with hooks instead of a hanger. You can hang the hooks over the door. It worked great on our last cruise. I can't remember where I bought it (maybe Target).

Pam-You should post more often. You have all sorts of useful info.

Okay guys less than 5 days until we cruise! I can't wait to meet you all!
