Ok ... This is what I came up with:

Pineapple Upside Down Martini - Flying Fish

1 part Vanilla Absolut (I'm sure any vanilla vodka would do though - This was just listed on the menu)
2 to 2 & 1/2 part pineapple juice (depends on my mood )
"splash" of grenadine

Mix vodka and pineapple juice over ice. Pour in glass - this is were the grenadine comes in - you "pour" the grenadine down the side to get it to "fall" to the bottom. (so the drink has a little red at the bottom with the "good stuff" on top) Garnish with cherry.

Just an FYI....not all vanilla vodka tastes the same. Absolute Vanilla happens to be the best tasting....it is soooo delicious, it is almost like cotton candy but without sugar. It is also the least expensive and the most vanilla tasting, so if you can find it, buy it because it will definately amke a huge difference in the way the drink tastes.

I have been on a vanilla vodka and diet coke kick lately (real good and low caloire...they go down REAL easy ). The liquor store was out of my usual vanilla vodka (Grey Goose) so I bought Absolute Vanilla....A huge difference.

OOOH! OOOH! I also enjoyed a fab dry martini at the open air bar outside Tusker House in AK. (Does the bar have a name?) Love that place! Nothin like lunch + a martini + enjoying the live entertainment with my family while on the patio at Tusker House in the AK. MMMMMMM!

It's called the Dawa Bar and I'm going for the first time this year and I cant wait! What else can you suggest from there? Is there a link to a drink menu from there? I'm really excited about that!
