Last 10 pounds...aargh!

I am in a funk. aaargh! These last 10 pounds have me feeling so discouraged one minute, and in the other, thinking how wonderful I have done and ready to say, "good enough". I don't want to do this. I really WANT to lose the last 10.
Who else is experiencing this? Maybe we can work together to beat this! Anyone else beat it already? What was your strategy?
I have added more workouts, and I am re-committing to induction (again, because today I went off!)
I don't want to have a "good enough" attitude...I want the "I made it to my goal" attitude. Me and DH are going away for the night March 6, I would love to lose the 10 by then.
 
I am sorry you are having such a hard time losing the last bit of weight. While I don't have 10 pound to lose (16.2# for me, actually 14.2 to my original goal, but I have changed my goal) I do know your frustration. It is very easy to get complacent and say, wow look at how well I have done, I feel great, enough is enough. But then there is that inner voice that says come on, you can do this, you can reach goal!

I think for me, it is about sticking to the program to a "t" and not straying. It is very easy to fall into days that I am eating like I am on maintenance. I am coming off of a very good two weeks, losing-wise, and I have found myself being a little lazy counting my points. Also, I think I need to learn to save the treats for the days where I work out only. I sense from your post that you are on Atkins, so I can't offer any advice there as I am doing WW, just wanted you to know that I know what you are talking about and sending {{HUGS}} your way.
 
I'm far from my last 10lbs!! :p i just want to send you some PD :wizard: and encouragement to help you in your battle with those pesky pounds. You have done so well, I know that you can get those last few pounds off by the time you and Dh go away :hyper:
 
I had finally made it past those last 10 pounds and then over the period of the holidays and a couple of trips I managed to put back on several of those pounds. I am having an awful time getting them back off. I know what my problem is and that is that I'm not as committed as I was originally. I am working on getting back completely OP and sticking to it.

I'm sending you major PD to help you through this. It is no fun especially when you feel that you are doing what you should be doing and it still isn't happening. Keep the faith and I'm sure you'll get there.

I know what you are going through all too well. Last year at this time I had just finished losing 30 pounds. I had a little less than 10 pounds to reach my goal....I never did it. Now I am determined to take the last pounds off. I've actually reset my goal so now I want to lose 11 pounds. It doesn't really help that so many people tell me that I don't need to lose any more weight. I know that I still have fat to shed and want to increase my muscle tone. Best of luck to you! Sorry I don't have any real advice to share. My new found motivation is mainly because my 10th wedding anniversary would have been in March (I'm divorced). I really want to get back down to my wedding weight by then - just as a personal accomplishment.
