hello guys,

Have just booked 5 nights las vegas and 9 nights orlando in november. Has anyone got any feedback on the hotel luxor in vegas?

looks great but first hand knowledge is always the best form of recommendation.

personally I would have prefered 14 nights orlando but my Mums 70 this year and she wants the family to go to vegas, her lifelong ambition. I can just see her placing 10 cents on the red. what a darling!

ave fun!

Hey! I have been to Vegas twice, and stayed once in the Luxor! It's an impressive sight! You'll be very impressed with the hotel, and the best thing ism if you're not, it doesn't really matter as you can freely stroll in and out of the rest of the strip hotels anyway,so you only have to sleep there!!

Both times I went, I spent the least amount of time in the hotel I was actually staying in!

Luxor is very nice inside, and has a great pool! Hope you enjoy!

I too have stayed at the Luxor and enjoyed it very much. November is a good time to visit for lots of sunshine and easy-walking temperatures but pool is unlikely to be open and it can get very chilly at night.

The Luxor is close to some of the big hotels such as Excalibur, New York, New York and the MGM but is a fair old walk from my favourite Las Vegas attractions - the Bellagio fountains and the Venentian - and so I wouldn't choose to stay there again. I prefer the centre of the strip with Paris Las Vegas, Caesars and the Mirage suiting me better for that reason.

You can, of course, get buses up and down the strip but the heavy traffic usually means very slow progress - which can be a bonus at night when it looks fabulous!

We had a lovely room at the Luxor (but in common with many LV hotels, lots of walking to get there) and I'm sure you will enjoy it.

were off in May, staying at the luxor and treasure Island, Ive heard its very nice!.

What a great holiday it sounds. Vegas and Orlando in 1 trip.
getting jealous just thinking about it.
We went to Vegas and stayed in the Luxor last July.
The luxor is a great hotel and is a great place to stay, although As it is at the bottom end of the strip and most of the action is in the middle of the strip you do have to take a journey some times as walking can be very knackering.
The strip does get busy but trolley buses run up and down about every 10 mins and cost $2 were ever you go. (have the correct money as no change is given).
Taxis are cheap and only cost about $10 to go from top to bottom of the strip.

Back to the Luxor.

As all hotels in Vegas, it is huge and is very easy to get lost in the hotel, the gaming areas areexcellent and offer some of the cheaper tables compared to hotels like the Venetian and Baligio,
plus they offer daily lessons on how to gamble (or how to take your money).

The pool area is great and one of the best in Vegas, it will be open when you go but probably from 10.00- 17.00, you can always send a e-mail to check.

hope that helps and ask me any questions, if i know i will help.
