Las Vegas to San Diego

We are driving from Las Vegas to San Diego. Does anyone have any recommendations for any interesting things to see or stops which are on the way? Thanks!

No. Just, no. Wish I could throw you a bone. Just no.

It's not a bad drive, and there's a town/rest area at decent intervals. But...that's it.

Oh yeah! The world's largest thermometer. No, really...I can't make this stuff up!

Not too many touristy things to do between LV and San Diego, but here are some things:

Primm Valley has a group of casinos at the Nevada/CA border:

There's the Lake Elsinore Outlet Mall off the Interstate 15:

There's March Air Reserve Base off the 215, where they have a nice Air Museum:

The Orange Empire Railroad Museum in Perris, CA off the 215 (just south of March ARB):
