Which resort has the largest standard rooms (all categories)?

I think the Poly and the Contemporary have the largest rooms. I believe the Poly runs about 409 square feet.

Hi! Your post caught my attention and I have to stay the CR has the biggest and most spacious of the resorts we have stayed in.


We live in Florida and have the AP so we try alot of resorts -

We have been to: - ASM and Sports, CBR, POR,CSR, AKL, WL and the CR. Some people don't like the CR decor - it is supposed to be "contemporary" but it has become dated. The AKL rooms are beautiful because they are new and pretty spacious but they are a little dark. The WL rooms are small - I was surprised but the WL lobby is absolutely beatuiful and makes up for that!!

We will be staying at the Poly in June so that will be another one we can check off our list!!

My Passporter says the CR standard rooms are 436 sq ft. I read somewhere today that the Tower rooms are a bit smaller but it didn't give the details so I don't know. Never stayed there but I have a CR standard room booked for August.

The Contemporary definitely has the largest rooms, with the Polynesian right behind.

Before Disney leased it to the Defense Dept, Shades of Green (the former Disney Inn) was number one.

No, unfortunately I'm not at WDW right now - we "made" it to AKL last August. Guess I need to update my counter

I'm am interested to see how much different that 90 sq. feet make between the 344 of the AKL and the 434 of the CR. I definitely like the bathroom layout better at CR!

You're right about that, Shades of Green has very spacious rooms (spacious for a hotel anyway) at 480 square feet. I don't know if the new rooms are as large though.

Oh, and one more thing...

I've discoverd that it's not so much the size of the room as how well it's appointed. I really like a nice color scheme going on, comfortable bedding, and a nice view. You could put me in a shoe box, but as long as the inside is nice & clean and I have a great view, I'm happy!

Yes, the rooms are still the same size.
