I have been calling daily and basically stalking the dining reservation site since my 180 mark last Monday trying to get into CRT for any meal, any day of our trip. We have a party of seven (and only two of which are adults) and no luck. When I just called today I was told that the reason I can't find one is that the largest table they will book is 6. :confused3

So .... first of all - is that the case? And second, if it is -- why didn't anyone tell me that on any of my previous calls? :guilty:

Not true...on a previous trip we booked a table for 11. 6 adults and 5 children. We were all seated together, one long table, bench on one side chairs on the other (obviously they were a bunch of tables pushed together). We had no problems. Included I think we got 3 or 4 photos with cinderella. Of which my sister in law embarrassed me to death...but that is another story.

Oh that is good to hear -- at least I know I can keep trying. I was seriously annoyed to think that I had called six times before someone bothered to tell me that what I was looking for didn't exist.

Worst case scenario, see if they will book you 2 tables of 4 and 3. when you get to the podium ask them to put you together. I would bet that they would.

I have heard that sometimes the main reservations have problems booking certain ways because of the computer. I have heard people unable to get a reservation for 5 people but 6 people is available. So if you book 2 tables, an actual human at the restaurant may be able to look at the tables available and put you together

We also have been a large party at CRT. We were 9: 4 adults and 5 children. Good luck!

Might be something new, but largest party is 6 at a table using the Reservation System. I actually spoke to someone at CRT and she told me that the choices I have are.. 1 - book 2 tables, arrive 15 minutes early and request that we sit together. 2 - call CRT directly and get our 2 ADRs put together, either way we are not guaranteed we will be sitting together. She said that we would however be better off if we booked the beginning of a "wave" and be almost guaranteed that we will sit together.

The whole party of 6 thing must apply only to CRT because I booked all my other reservations without an issue,

I've noticed as well that the most CRT will book online is 6. There are B, L, and D reservations A PLENTY during the week we are going and the most it will go up to on any of them is 6. :confused3

OP, your best bet is to book 2 separate tables -for 4 and 3- and let the hostess know you are all together.

CRT is notorious for being difficult to get an ADR for, no matter what your party size is.

I find it hard to believe that can't make reservations for more than six, ever, at all. That is just not true. They have the space and it's been done before.

I do, however, find it easy to believe there are no ADR's for six available during your trip. I concur with the others in that you should try booking 2 ADR's and hope they can accommodate you at one table when you go.

In the past we have had a ressie for 9; we were seated at 2 tables, 6 and 3. The reservation was made for 9.

When I ate at CRT in January, as we were checking in the CM there told us there was a party of 17 later that night!! :scared1:

Last October, we had a table at CRT for 7 - 6 adults and 1 child. This is how we booked and we were seated together.

The largest ADR's I have held (but not for CRT) were for a party of 17. I was advised that we may not be seated at the same table, but would be dining at the same time. These ADR's worked out as follows:

LTT - 3 tables right next to each other for parties of 6,6 & 5.

H&V - 1 long table with seating for 18!

We booked CRT as a party of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) for a lunch last summer, and I never had any trouble. We were warned we might be seated at two tables, but we weren't. We were warned that at several restaurants, actually, and we were always seated together. The most we were ever separated was at the Sci Fi dine in theater, and they put us in two of the cars right next to each other, and we could still converse reasonably well.

I tried to book a party of 8 for this august and was told to make 22 seperate reservations for 4 people and to get to the podium about 20 minutes before our sitting time and ask to be seated close by. Apparently they don't allow too many big parties any given day.

She said that we would however be better off if we booked the beginning of a "wave" and be almost guaranteed that we will sit together.

Curious~ is there a way to know when a 'wave' begins and ends? I am highly concerned about this~ we have a party of 11 going Christmas week! Of course, I'll be on the computer the minute the online reservation system opens on my 180 mark, but we want a late breakfast~ I'd love to know the times of the 'waves'.
We've always done CRT (never Christmas week!) and had reservations for 11~ even seated a one big table twice~ they used to have at least one (maybe two) big tables that seated 12... wonder if they've done away with those.
