Larger Staterooms Question

First time looking into DCL and I have lots of questions, but I will start here. What are the options like for larger staterooms? We will likely be with a group of 7 with one of those being an infant or young toddler. Are there staterooms that would accommodate us all? On a 3-4 night cruise? We like separate sleeping places for parents and children and really enjoyed our first villa experience at WDW last trip. What are the options like on DCL?

Most rooms onboard don't have actual separate rooms for sleeping, except for the suites. The Magic & Wonder have rooms that sleep 7. But I wouldn't do it. I'd split into at least 2 rooms (connecting would be ideal). That way you get 2 bathrooms and 2 TVs (could be important), and, while you must make the reservations with one adult in each room, DCL doesn't do a bed check, you can sleep where you wish (adults in one room, kids in the other.

The only two bedroom suites are on the Magic and Wonder, and they would accommodate a party of seven with separate sleeping areas. The Dream and Fantasy also have larger suites, but none that will accommodate seven all in the same stateroom. You may want to look at connecting state rooms, as this will give you lots of space, and also allow for separate sleeping areas.

Cat R Cat S will do it on the Magic and Wonder, we have done it, and Cat T will take 5 if required though we use it as 4.

I agree with everything above. You can do suites, but adjoining staterooms is probably the most cost-efficient way to go.

Just a word clarification: "adjoining" two rooms next door to each other with no interior door between them.
"connecting" two rooms next to each other with an interior door between them.

Depending on the ages of the children, connecting rooms may be preferable.
