Larger family (6 people) - where?

I'm researching if we want to go to Universal for part of our next trip.

We have a family of 6. I want to stay in one room - I know I saw some suites that were on-site (from all I'm reading, basically if you don't want to stand in huge amount of lines for everything on-site is the only way to go).

However, I can't seem to find any information on the suites such as cost, etc...

I was thinking the Portofino Bay hotel looked nice (we would want a quiet, relaxing hotel).

Could someone point me in the correct direction?

PBH would be quiet, it's the farthest from the parks and theamed after Italy.
You can walk over in the morning, then take the boat ride back in the afternoon. The walk goes thru a pretty winding path, about 20 minutes. Or you take a shuttle bus over, and it drops you off at the entrance of USF.

If you have an AAA card, then enter AAA in the box, and you should get a better rate.

We have a family of 5 so booked a room at pbh and requested a loews gold upgrade to a suite so we can have extra space and privacy.

we are going in late march...you cannot stay on universal property unless you get two rooms...that really stunk and i couldn't justify spending the money for an additional room..we will stay at the nick hotel instead but i really was hoping to stay on premises...we had a family that was going to be there at the same time and we were going to "virtually' place one of our kids in their room but they are not going now....shucks!

i wish they had some more options for larger families that wouldn't bust your bank account...there are some hotels around that area that will accept six to a room..good luck
