Large Tour Groups in May

We are planning a trip in May next year and keep reading about the large tour groups (15's, cheer/dance etc) that stay at the All Stars and POP.
I'm wondering if anyone has stayed in any of these resorts in May and experienced these large types of groups (I'm hoping that here in US school is winding down so maybe not many large groups from the US in May).

There's a cheer/dance event the first week in May, so there will be hoards of teenage girls and boys running around. They'll most likely stay at the All-Stars. I'm not sure if it has a huge effect on crowds in the park though, especially if most of your trip is during the week days.

A friend's daughter was at Disney for a cheer competition in early May. Their group stayed at Pop Century. I have heard Caribbean Beach is also a resort for ESPN WWS participants.

We were there this year at the beginning of May and had no idea there were cheerleaders there, until the DME driver told us there were thousand of cheerleaders leaving Orlando with us.
