My 180 was this morning and I'm glad to say that we got everything we wanted. I just have a few times I'm hoping to change at some point.
We are traveling with a larger group - 7, and then the last 3 days my inlaws will join us so we'll have 9. And one night friends that live in Orlando are joining us to celebrate my son's birthday. I had two major difficulties with the larger party reservations.
#1 - Be Our Guest - It's available and we have it but the only time it will give us for 9 people is 4:20. I tried every single day (even though I'm limited to the 3 days my inlaws) out of curiosity and it was available every day but only at 4:20 each day. We are staying 8 nights and even at days 8 & 9 of our trip it's 4:20. If I drop down to 7, you can get other times but 8+ people (I tried 8, 9, and 10) only 4:20. It's like they are trying to force the larger groups to eat at dinner opening when it's easier to seat them together. It's not the end of the world but we'll be hopping over from Epcot to eat and I was hoping for something closer to 7. I guess I'll keep trying.
#2 - Garden Grill - We need 13 for the reservation and it wouldn't let me do 13. I then tried to split our group but MDE won't let me make two reservations! I don't understand that, what if we didn't all want to eat at the same place? I booked 12 and then called at 7:00 hoping they would just change it to 13 for me. No such luck. She was terribly unhelpful. She claimed that they take reservations for up to 17 but on day 8 of our trip, nothing for 13. She then proceeded to tell me I should just make a reservation for 1 at the same time, but there were no reservations for 1 except 45 minutes before the reservation. I told her why not split us 8 & 5 and she gave me the song and dance about if she books one she can't guarantee the other would be there at the same time still and I realized that I wasn't going to get any real solution from her, got off as quick as I could, cancelled the 12 & 1 and booked an 8 and then called back and got the new rep to book the 5 for me and now they are only 5 minutes different. The second lady told me it would show up in my MDE and 4 hours later, it still wasn't so back on the phone again. Apparently it was so messed up with typos in my email address etc. but thankfully that's now fixed and it's finally showing in my MDE.
