Large Groups and Priority Seating

We possibly have 14 people going to WDW in December. We plan on making PS at:

Rainforest Cafe (Animal Kingdom)
Prime Time
Chef Mickey's
Biergarten/ Candlelight Processional Dinner Package

Do we need to give a credit card number when we make the PS? Do they actually charge the card or just use it to hold your PS? Also, do any of them need to be paid in advance? With that many people, do they tack on gratuity to the bill? I've never done any PS before so I would appreciate any information you can give me!

we have done this before for a wdw family reunion of 20 & now our wdw wedding in 2006.

for groups over 8, you're automatically charged 15% gratuity. some ps (priority seatings) restaurants will ask for a credit card to hold down but it's not charged (unless you cancel ressie within 24hours). you can make priority seatings for all 4 restuarants you typed in, call 407-wdw-dine (939-3463)
