We have talked about 5 other families to go with us on a cruise. We won't be staying all on the same deck but we want to sit by each other at dinner. Has anyone done this before and how do you do it? There are 6 families and 3 to 5 people in each family. Also, has anyone heard of DCL giving a discount for large groups?

You will need to call DCL with everyone's reservation numbers, and ask them to "link" them all together. They'll put as many of you together at one table as they can, and then put all of the tables together in the same area of the dining room.

I know there are group discounts but I'm not sure what the minimum number of staterooms is; I think you need to have 8 staterooms to qualify. I'm not sure though, you can ask when you call to link everyone in your party.

Hope this helps :)

There are 20 of us going next April, we booked 6 cabins with Dreams Unlimited and saved $1400 from the next best quote I got. I checked AAA, cruisequick, micdan, travelocity, and acouple others.

Get a quote for the whole group and see. Sue Ellen is great. Each family would have their own reservation # but they would all be linked together.

his May we are going againg 23 people and we have not heard yet how many people will be seated together.at the same table, however we will be in the same area and dining rotation. But we are getting a group rate you really need to check in to that. We will be a group of Adults mostly single 18-55 so I am praying they will have enough to do on the ship for this age group.
