My daughter's dance team will be competing at the Dolphin this summer. We are hoping to do one big group dinner somewhere. I'd love suggestions or perhaps people who have done this for cheer or dance teams in the past can offer some advice.

I'm thinking the group would be approx 30-40 people. We can't do a Grand Gathering because the majority of us will be staying at the Dolphin and I don't think (but now that I think about it I'm not positive....hmmmmm) that we would qualify for those events.

TIA :)

1) Call and ask for Group Dining.
2) You have a tough assignment.
3) But, they have such experience.

Thanks :)

Of course, it's not the answer I was looking for ;) Especially from someone with over 9,000 posts living 15 minutes from the Mouse

I knew it would be a tall order. I will call group dining at the start of 2011. We aren't going til....... well, who knows! 'Cause my ticker down there is broken

1) How I would love to give you some exact locations.
2) But, 30-40 people is a huge group.
3) It will take a lot of coordination to put that many ADRs together.
4) Not necessarily next to each other, but even in the same room.
5) With so many people doing 180 and 180+10 days, eateries fill quickly.
6) So, sometimes there are not 30-40 seats available.
7) Some places that might be able to do this, depending upon other ressies
. . . Ohana
. . . WCC
. . . Biergarten
. . . Trails End
. . . Boma

CAVEAT: I like to mention the place, but have a concern there are not enough vacancies at the same time, so please do not takes these places as a sure thing.

I am pretty sure I read today that the swan qualifies for grand gatherings.

Why not call already? They might be able to help you since you have such a big group.

Good Luck!!!!!

i've seen a giant group dine at mama melrose. it was a huge tupperware group and there were tons of them. good food too.

When we went with my neice's softball team, there were at least 30 of us, I think even more and we had a few group dinners. One at Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge, one at the Brown Derby, and one at Ohana. Ohana is one of my personal favorites and they were able to accomadate us all in the same section. Just start calling as soon as you can and you will have more options.

Thanks everyone! Great info. I don't have an exact count yet but maybe I should just call group dining and get the ball rolling.
I had thought of Biergarten, too (even though I'm not a fan of that food, I'd go and have a great time!).

The others, like O'Hana, I didn't consider so Thanks!
