Large family cheapest/best options!

I am looking at a disney visit in October. It has to be school holidays because of the new rules which is obviously more expensive!

So have been searching my options.

There is
Me
DH
Son 13
Son 11
Son 8
Son 6
Son 4
And my 2 year old twins. So 9 of us!
Although the two year olds don't really count in numbers.

So we are too big at any disney hotels. Even at the ranch we would need 2 cabins!

Looking in October there are no under 12's free offers yet just under 7's so to have two rooms even at Santa Fe is huge!

So then I looked at staying off site at one of the campsites most likely le chene Gris.
Was then looking at tickets for disney shock again is just huge!! Just two days passes x 7 is £735!
Then found the AP thread
I found a price on a ebay site for £129 each (fantasy)
Are there any cheaper places to buy??
I figured that to pay £903 for 7 AP which include free parking and discounts would be beneficial as I could then convince hubby to go again at Easter with just tunnel and camp costs!!

Just wondered if there are any other big familes here? And if this seems the most feasible way to you?
And if there are any cheaper AP sites??

you get 20% family discount if you buy 5 of your APs at the gates of DLP, as you are all immediate family.

Have you looked at the explorers hotel? They have interconnecting rooms that I think can accommodate up to ten. You can book this hotel through the dlp site ( with tickets) or on it's own and go down the AP route instead. I find booking.com good for prices
