Large 5th wheel & HDT

We have a 39' 5th wheel, pull it with a HDT (29" long) and have a Dalmatain.
Planning to go to FW after the next Shuttle launch 10-08.

Which area will be the best for us, we are getting ready to call and make reservations.

The wife & & love to Dine at the different Disney restaurants, do you recomend the food plan.

Most places will be tight for you but not impossible. You'll be asked the size of your rig when you make resses. I don't know if any of the new premium sites will be done by Oct.... you can ask. The premium sites are suppose to be bigger and easier for todays larger RV's. You might need to park the big truck in the overflow lot once you get the RV set up if there isn't enough room. Call ASAP for resses. Many book over a year in advance. You'll need to ask for a pet loop also. If nothing is available keep trying daily and taking what days you can . Making several resses if necessary till you get all the days you need. The dining plan works for some---if you don't want to cook while on vacation. We usually just wing it and eat where and when we want. Mostly breakfast and dinner in our RV and a few special meals out. Good Luck.

Although some loops are tighter than others, site sizes vary throughout each loop. The best advice has already been given and that is to make sure you explain the size of your rig when making ressies. That will be put in the system and when site assignments are made it will be taken into account.

Yes, Heavy Duty Truck = Semi-tractor. Usually a single axle class 7 or 8 tractor. This is what I wanna get once I get a trailer to big for my F350.

29" ... that's really short and am sure you mean 29' which is like 9' longer than the Ford Excursion. What is the actual overall length since the 5er sits over the rear axle so you can't quite just add the two for overall length like you can with a regular bumper pull. I watch a gent in a 40' MH towing what had to be at least a 25' cargo trailer and he was able to back that into a site next to us and it took up the entire site from the sand area to within a foot of the site entrance. I couldn't believe he got that backed in.

We were at the Fort two years ago and will be back in October. We have a Medium Duty Freightliner and a 40' fifth wheel. We were in loop 600 which I thought was easy to drive in and out of, but was a little tight getting into our spot. This October we have reserved a Premium site. So, since they were able to let us reserve one over 4 months ago, I would assume they'll have some done by then.

Sorry we are a heavy duty truck, Volvo 770, which is 29 FEET long.
Which make me almost 68 feet long with the 5th.
We will be there Sept. 28- Oct 4.
