Anyone stayed at this LaQuinta recently? I can get a great rate for the night before our cruise, but am wondering how this is? We'll only be there one night and only ask that it be clean and safe. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I don't know if it helps since it is not Cocoa Beach, but my parent's stay at the LaQuinta in Oregon all the time and just love it. Everyone there is very nice and the rooms are always clean and quiet, every laQuinta I have seen looks the same from the outside so I am guess the service and the appearence on the inside is very similar too. I say give it a try, it is only one night and chance are you'll be one of two things.. to excited to sleep because you will be boarding the ship soon, or so tired you could sleep anywhere because you just finished a Wonderful or Magical trip.

go to the web site. www.LQ.com sometimes the name La Quinta is used. if this one is on the web , then they should have pictures for you along with a rating.

MY Dh and i travel ALL the time for buisness and we always stay at La Quinta ( they let us bring our kids *** read d-o-g-s***)

This property has been around for awhile, but La Quinta spent over $1 million renovating it before taking it over on January 1 of this year. It appears to be in good shape.

We decided to take a chance on a $50 ($62 with taxes & fees) rate on hotwire, and ended up with the La Quinta. I'd let you know how it is, but I won't be able to tell you for about 10 months.

They have a continental breakfast included (which is great, since I prefer a somewhat light breakfast on the morning before the cruise), and also high-speed internet access. From Dave's site (see above) it is about 7 miles from the port, which is further than the 2 miles for the Raddison, but I can drive 5 miles to save that much money.

Just another FYI Rick that may not apply to your La Quinta, but the one my Parent's always stay at has a EXCELLENT continental breakfast that includes a make your own waffle station with toppings, my parents have always said it was good, but the coffee is aparently terrible. Guess who always made the Starbucks run, on the way to meet them at the Hotel in the Morning?? :wave2:

The La Quinta is super nice (from the outside) and as Dave said they have really done it up pretty - you are close to Denny's BTW they do have a nice restaurant - the only thing you are really not close to is shopping BUT you are accross the street from the beach - it really isn't bad - and as for being 7 miles from the port - listen it isn't bad - you drive by Publix, Winn Dixie, Ron Jon's, churches, banks, including my shop to get to the port so if you are in need of anything it is on your way - I really believe you are going to like it - Norm and I drive by it just about every day
Anyhow if I can help further, just let me know -
chat with ya later.
Always
Shirley

The website for the La Quinta in Cocoa Beach does list "Fresh Waffles" on the breakfast list.
I don't like coffee anyway, so that won't be a problem (and believe it or not, they still let me live in Seattle :) )
