I thought that I remembered seeing a post a long time ago that said that you could order a Lapu Lapu minus the pineapple and it was much cheaper. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!
It is called a Zombie. It is no longer on the menu - but has the same ingredients - maybe a touch stronger. It is a few dollars cheaper. I used to start off with a Lapu just because it was vacation - but now I am a sincere Zombie lover. A group of friends were in Florida same time as my family in December and we all met at the Tambu Lounge. I kept the slip to remind them all that in total we consumed 22 Zombies! Walt is the best bartender in the world!!!! Enjoy

The Zombie portion was $187 - our bill was slightly higher and then we all went into dinner. It was truly a MAGICAL Gathering that we made up on our own. Much better than what Disney plans...
I did use my Tables in Wonderland card for the discount - but that is sorta a wash since it also puts in the gratuity. Although when drinking a Zombie - that is a good thing - to have all decisions taken away from you....hahaha
It was all worth it! Can't wait to go back and do it again! Have fun on your trip and if you go - tell Walter I sent you - I am the lady who asked for his autograph on the handle of the backscratcher he gave us!
1) For you "younger" folks, "Zombies" were popular in the late 60's.
2) As well as "Watermelons" and "B-52's". *
3) It is very close to Lapu-Lapu, with only a few dashes of extra stuff.
4) But, the taste (especially after 2-3) is the same.
* Of course, it is said that if you remember the 60's, you weren't really there.
