Lap Tops

I was just wondering has anyone had any problems ( being taken) bringing their laptops at any of the Hotels? I am thinking about bringing mine we will be staying at HOJO's & since there is no fee I thought it would be nice to have it.

I brought mine with me and it was great for at the end of the day when you can just upload all your pics from your digital camera.

I took a lock and locked my laptop and cords in my luggage when I left to go to the park. It was fine and I never had a problem.

id be more conspicuious really. If someone sees a bag locked up, they KNOW there is something expensive or precious in there. Probably grab it and GO! For me, i just leave it in a backpack or in my luggage full of clothes. make sure you hide all the evidence of a laptop ie mouse and power cord

We usually bring ours. Last year at the DLH we just left it hooked up on the desk. Probably pretty dumb thinking about it now. LOL But no one ever messed with it, and we have passwords on it so they couldn't use it.

We've brought it to the smaller motels too, and there I burried it in my luggage. Still no problems. I liked uploading my pictures at night also.

Well I usually put my laptop and cords under my clothes in my luggage, then lock up the luggage, face the lock and zipper towards the wall and then throw a few clothes on top of the luggage. It works fine.

Okay, I guess we're pretty stupid too. We always bring my husband's lap top and it sits on the desk the entire trip. We've always been at DLH or PP though.

Remember to bring your locks for your luggage if you want to do that, but remember that you can't use them through the airport.

My DH brought his laptop on our trip last in Dec to WDW. He just left it plugged in we stayed at the Polynesian Resort. I didn't even think twice about that then.Well this trip to DL I am going with my friend & cousin.I guess I am thinking about it more since my DH won't be their.I really want to download pic's at night. I think I will probably just hide it in my suitcase

There are TSA locks now - which they can somehow open. . .

When I stay at any hotel and I do not take my laptop with me during the day, I leave my laptop at the front desk. They give me a receipt for it and I'm good to go. I've never had a problem.

we have never brought our laptops with us to dl but we have on other vacations and our planning on bring is with us wdw next month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But at other hotels they never got stolen or anything and they were great entertainment for the kids as they both brought there own so we could watch our movie and the kids could watch there seperate movie too.

I find laptops to be really handy as well, so at the end of the day before you go to bed, you can jot down the events that happened that day, and what you liked and didnt like about the day or things you could have done differently.

I put the Sims game on my computer too so when we go on flights I have something to amuse myself with.

I just got home from a 10 day trip to Sea World/Disneyland and left it out on the desk at our hotel in San Diego as well as the GCH. After doing this for years and having never had a problem, its not something I worry about anymore.

we were at the paradise pier this past week. i left it out on the desk plugged in and signed on. silly me i guess, but we had no problems what so ever. we did the same thing when we stayed at the DLH on our prior trip as well.

In a sense I can definately see that it maybe ok if your staying on an onsite hotel like the disneyland hotel, the Grand, or Paradise Pier as the most likely have better security. But if your staying on say an offsite hotel such as Castle Inn by the convention center or Americas Best inn on Ball Road, I would say forget it, and would lock it up.

I'm like you--I've always left it on the desk to charge. I don't think about stuff like that.

I took my laptop to the HOJO last week with us and had no problems. I just put it in the suitcase and shut the lid down so that it wasn't visible.

We had a great time. It was the first time we have stayed at the HOJO and would definitely stay there again. Have a great time!
