i need help finding a lap pool in WDW it would be nice if it is an olympic size pool. i will be staying at the polynesian from apr 23- apr 30. any one know of one?

I know there is a lap pool at either the swan or the dolphin. I am fairly certain that there is also one at CSR. I am not sure what the restrictions are with pool hopping. I would imagine that unless there was a medical reason for you to use the lap pools you wouldn't be able to use them.

I've never been to the Swan or Dolphin, but if I find out they have honest to God lap pools (and not mini ones), I'll stay there.

Disney pools aren't designed for lap swims. If you want to go super early in the morning or late at night (when other people aren't there), you can use the main pools to do some swimming, but they're still recreational pools. I think my favorites were Grand Floridian and Boardwalk. AKL and CSR weren't too bad, IIRC. Beach Club is the worst of the bunch.

If you plan on early swims, you'll be swimming with ducks more often than not. I kind of enjoy that, but it creeps a lot of folks out.

IMO, a good swim with the ducks is the best way to begin any Disney day.

Good luck!

And possibly the people doing the daily pool maintenance. They usually do that first thing in the morning.

I've been there and the Swan does have an honest to goodness lap pool - with ropes specifically for lap swimming. Its located right outside of the Swan but easily accessible from the Dolphin. Here is a review - it was ranked #1

" Dolphin and Swan Resorts (Orlando) – It’s fitting that the best hotel lap pool in North America is hosted by two resorts named after water-loving creatures. Mickey has no match for the 3-lane, 33-yard outdoor lap pool located on the Dolphin and Swan shared playground. Bottom stripes are not marked, but high quality floating lane-lines guide swimmers from end to end. A separate kids’ pool will keep the busy little ones far from your underwater work zone."
