Does anyone know if they have seat belt extenders for those of us who are Pooh sized?

I'm a big girl and have never needed a seat belt extender on any ride. I'm probably a woman's size 20. My friend is probably a 24, and she was fine as well. My husband is about 6' tall and 250 pounds- never a problem.

The only problem I have is with the old turnstiles- like on Peter pan and jungle cruise. I can fit through them, but they are small. One tip- for rides like Indy and Soarin' pull the seat belt out before you sit down. Its easier then trying to twist in the seat and find it.

Oh, I dont recomend riding astro orbitor, unless you have your own rocket. And I also dont recomend Orange stinger- those swings are tiny.

At DL pindecisive. I am a rather big guy, over 350+ and am worried the belt will not fit on certain rides, Indy, Grizzle River in CA, Space Mountain ETC. I really do not like the spinning rides so I would not have ridden the Orange Stinger or the rockets anyways.

I agree about the tip hlbtimes2, about pulling it out first. I just don't want to be embarsed trying to get on certain rides. I am sure others have felt the same way. I can fit through most turnstiles but they can be tight, LOL so I am sure Indy and PP will be fun.

Do teh seat belts on Grizzley River and Space mountain strecth for two people or does each person have their own? I will be riding with my 7 & 4 year old so I that should give me some extra room if they stretch across two.

Thanks for the help everyone

TeamTnC,

Try this site (sorry I don't have enough posts to include a link):

themouseforless.com/tripplanning/articles/judith2.shtml Just add WWW to the front!

It is an article called The Fat Lady's Guide to Disneyland... not the greatest title... but some information that may be helpful. Please pass on any other info you get.

On Grizzley everyone has their own seat and seat belt. I dont think you'll have a problem. They are pretty generous. Soarin' and Tower of terror both have individual belts. You'll want to do the pull it out before sitting down tip. I think Space has a lap bar rather then a seat belt. Big thunder mt has a lap bar. Splash mt doesnt have any restraints. Matterhorn has seat belts, and they are pretty generous.

I've noticed more of a problem with seats being narrow then the belts being short. There is not a lot of leg room on Space. The seats on Indy and Soarin' are a bit narrow. I would say that if you can get in the seat, the belt will probably be fine.

my ex was a big boy and i was always really worried because i knew how much he wanted to go to disneyland but i was worried about him fitting on the rides, so before i took him i had asked a CM if there were any rides that a larger person might have a difficult time riding. She said space mountain was the main one. Although my ex fit, he was really uncomfortable, but delt with it for the ride, and even rode it mutliple times:rotfl:
On space mountain each person has their own lap bar and its kinda skinny, but ive seen plenty of larger people on it.
On splash mountain unless you want to be COMPLETELY soaked, dont sit in the very front, but i doubt they would place you there since you have little ones. My ex was stubborn and sat in front, he was soaked and i was pretty much dry:rotfl2:
Other than that, Pirates, TM, Indy, HM, ToT, Soarin, CA screamin, pretty much all the main rides should be more than fine.
Hope you have a GREAT time!!!!

DH was worried too. He's 5'10" and was around 340 on our last visit. But he didn't have a problem with anything. Well, he was a bit uncomfortable on Dumbo during our first trip, but it was the two of us and our then-1 year old squeezed in there. :) His weight is spread around, he has a VERY broad back with some extra skin, and that was the main problem with Dumbo, his chest and above, just didn't fit well.

The only thing I will add is that if you're going on a ride with one lap bar, with someone who is smaller than you, prepare them for an interesting ride. They will have much more wiggle room than you will, and it can be a bit disconcerting. Though, again, that might have been from DH's build, his legs are like a sumo wrestler's, very big and muscular, so the lapbars were being held literally up above me by his legs being so much bigger than mine, rather than getting hung up totally on his belly.

But really, it isn't like a dinky state fair, as much of DL as I've been on (I haven't been to DCA) has been very size-friendly.

From what I understand they are using the old subs. IIRC, its pretty open inside, everyone has their own little seat in front of a window. There were no restraints in there.

Thank you Adam&Alex's Mom. I read the article you sent over and I should be ok for the most part. Sounds as if there a few possiable problems here or there.

As for Nemo, this is why I posted this question here. People ove on Miceage have been debating if Pooh sized folks should be able to ride or not since they may have to take up more than one seat. Then people were saying there is one port hole per rider, so someone who needed two seats would have to lean over for awhile. No biggie in my opinion. It looks like a tight squeeze down the spiral staircase, but it really does not look that bad. I think most folks will be fine. This is one I am not worried abnout after I saw teh pictures. Here is that thread.

Wow.... that thread is interesting... thanks for the link. Looking at the pic from inside the sub I think it will be doable for for the vast majority of folks.

From what I remember the hole getting in to the subs was kinda cramped. I even cut my leg on it one time getting out. Once in the subs however I kind of remember being pretty roomy. But it has been years and years (sometime in the 90's when I last rode it).

I ran into this problem when we rode Nemo. I sat next to a plus-sized person and she took up her seat and half of mine! I ended up almost sitting on my daughter's lap. The seats are very small on that ride!

I am glad you asked this question because I was wondering my self. I just hadn't gotten around to asking yet.

Just a quick note on Space Mtn ... DH and I are both pooh size and we fit in the same car together on space. My only hint would be not to sit in the front seat of the cars. I have long legs my knees were touching the front of the car. It wasn't real uncomfortable, but I will always ask to sit in the 2nd or 3rd seat of the cars now. There's more leg room in those two seats in each car.

I haven't had any problems with anything else I have riden, although DH and I don't sit together on GRR usually, but I don't recall ever riding it when there has been a long wait so there were empty seats in the raft anyway. DL is nothing like the other parks like Knotts or Six Flags.

Do you remember mikayla73 is there one seat belt for two people or one for each person? The reason I am asking is I will be sitting next to my young kids and that should give me some extra space, LOL. Whatever happens, it will work out.

THat mice chat thread was extremly interesting I thought. It really got me thinking.

Do you mean on GRR? I can't remember for sure, but I think it is one for each person. We didn't ride it when we went a couple weeks ago so it has been a year since I was on it.

I hope you guys have a great time!

Oh yeah, Star Tours is another ride where you'll want to pull the seat belt up before sitting down.
