Everyone who is a Castaway Club member gets a lanyard. But only one gift per cabin, no matter how many guests. This bag is the gift. As you move up the levels, they add an item. You cabin will get this bag (or whatever replaces it) each cruise.

This is the current C Club gift, not related to Inaugural Sailings or 25th Anniversary of DCL.

You and your husband will get silver lanyards. Your kids will not.

You can bring your own or buy Disney or DCL lanyards from eBay. I would think they’d be helpful for kids, depending on their ages.

I will say, having a lanyard was incredibly helpful. It is worth purchasing them for your kids even if it is not an official DCL lanyard or even Disney themed.

Or give your kids the fun Mickey lanyards and get generic ones for yourself.

Are you and your family Disney Vacation Club members? If you are, in the past if you stop by their desk on the ship and ask they used to give members DVC lanyards.
This is what they did in the past, not sure if they still do this now.

They still give them out, I was on the wonder this past week, and the design changed since I cruised last fall.
