Lanyards/Tickets for Kids

For work I wear an ID badge and have a great lanyard and pocket that holds my ID, so I'm planning on doing the same at DL. (and on the airplane)

Am I right that this would be good for holding acquired Fast Passes too? I will also probably put in my Disney card for easy access money.

My real question is is this a safe system for kids? They are ages 4-9. We will have 5 day passes which I would hate to loose. We got the coupon for the lanyard and pin so we'll pick those up when we arrive. I assume I can attach my safe and secure clear pocket to those lanyards?

Do you carry your kids entrance passes for them? We plan on using Fast Pass and I don't want to have to dig around in my bag to find our entrance tickets each time.

What system works for you?

We carry our children's tickets and Fast Passes for them--however we don't use lanyards for ourselves; rather, we button the tickets/Fast Passes into a pocket.

I have heard of the plastic sleave getting caught on something getting on or off a ride and torn off. My fear would be that you wouldn't notice if that happened and you'd lose everything.

I like to hold the passes and FPs all in one spot. Makes it easier when you need them at once, rather than everyone searching for thiers.

Our digital camera goes in a small soft case (bought at Best Buy for not much money) that has a pocket on it. We put our tickets, FPs, credit card etc. in there. Heavy enough that you'll notice if it gets snagged or anything but small enough to be not obnoxious.

We hold onto our kids passes. DH or I keep them all with FPs so its easier to break off to have someone run for FPs while the other head towards the next ride with the kids.

When my girls were younger I held onto their tickets/AP's but now they hold them themselves, in the lanyard pouch they have. We've never had any problems with the pouches or lanyards getting torn off but on rides that we feel that could happen we take the lanyards off.

I hold everyones tickets so they dont get lost and they stay organized when hopping back & forth from both parks.

My hubby was holding our twin 3 yr old's PH's & the plastic sleeve tore where it connected to the lanyard & he lost them........believe me, you don't want to go thru that!! YIKES!!

Again, we've never had this happen...but I do know other's have. :) I'm sort of obsessive about checking my lanyard pouch tho so maybe that's why. :)

If you have a photo of your ticket and you've signed your ticket it's not a nightmare to have a lost ticket replaced. We always suggest signing and photographing your tickets just in case. I used my cell phone to take photos so we would have the photos handy just in case. :)

We all used lanyards, however the adults kept the kiddo's tickets. We went in a group, several families with 3 small kids. In the kids lanyard we had - "If I get lost card" it had name of child, all the names of the adults in the group along with cell phone #'s. Thank goodness they were not needed, but with small kids you never know.

I use the awesome Patagonia waterproof lightweight sling. It has a small zippered pouch where I keep only APs, FPs, and credit card/ID. The boys have lanyards, but only for fun and they put their smashed pennies in there and (used) gift cards haha.
