Lanyards for kids?

I bought lanyards & cases for the kids KTTK cards...maybe for pins, too...
But now I am panicking that they will lose their cards!!! (I CAN remove charging privileges from their cards like on DCL, right?)

Is is better to let the kids wear them, or have one of us carry them?

I would keep an entire family's cards together.

In my trips I have found that it is easier when running to a fastpass machine to already have the cards together instead of saying "I want to run to X for group fastpasses but johnny is in the bathroom with his KTTK". I also figure that they will be less likely to get lost.

Unless you are planning on splitting up, I think the best bet would be to keep them together with the most responsible person.

I don't even let my hubby carry his own card (he lost a hopper once). I think it's faster and easier to get fast passes if one person is in charge of all the cards.

I'm the official keeper of the cards. I kept them in my pouch on my lanyard. It made it easy to run and get fastpasses (I also kept ALL of the fastpasses)

But in answer to your question, you don't have to put charging privileges on their cards -- I've already checked for my 2 girls...Not that I think that my 13 year old will run off on her own and spend the entire budget in one fell swoop ..But I'd rather play it safe

Just so you know, I was given a FREE Castaway Cay Lanyard that holds park hopper tickets and passes when we were on the Disney Wonder portion of our trip.

On the First day of using our 4 day hopper ticket (after finishing a Wonderful Disney Cruise btw) while riding Epcot's Test Track the CHEAP PLASTIC LANYARD that disney gave us flew up and all our tickets (and the rest of our vacation) dumped out into the air to who knows where?! And yes I did have the lanyard tucked into my shirt.

Do your self a favor and don't trust your whole vacation to the complimentary CHEAP PLASTIC LANYARDs to hold your park tickets and fast passes or credit cards or you just might end up ruining a whole vacation like we almost did.

Luckly we knew someone who was a relative of the Disney Family and managment graciously gave us complimentary tickets to finish the remaining 3 days. THANK YOU DISNEY MGM STUDIOS GUEST RELATIONS FOR SAVING OUR TRIP!

Remember to always make copies of the back of your tickets. If the tickets are lost for whatever reason Guest Relations can easily replace them.

how do you make copies when you just get them at check-in?

I've always bought my tickets before arriving and had them with me at check-in so I am not sure, but I don't see why they shouldn't be able to make copies for you.
