Do you use one? I always seem to be fumbling for our tickets and I was wondering if it's a good investment or will I just end up looking like a super freak. As is, DH stated that I need to be medicated and suggested that I ask Santa for a fanny pack. I actually considered a fanny pack until he looked at me in disgust. Your thoughts would help!

We use them and we look like dorks...but they are super easy to access!

I cannot do a fanny pack and I make DH leave his at home. :lmao:

We use them also. You don't have to wear them if you don't want to. Just put them in your bag after you go through the gate.

If you look like a freak, so do we! We picked up clear waterproof cases to put on the end of a lanyard. It is so much more convenient to have tickets (and fast passes) easily accessible.

We used a lanyard for the first time this trip. It came free with our ticket purchase from UT. It was great, so easy to keep tickets and fast passes. Honestly, you will not look weird. Lots of people have lanyards for pin trading. You actually would be fitting in.:lmao:

Do the passes have holes in them or do you need a plastic holder for the pass? If you need a holder would it not be more difficult to take the pass out of the holder all the time compared to just taking it out f your pocket? These may seam like goofy questions but I've never been before and was wondering about the lanyards as well.

Yes you need them both and I don't think anyone who has a lanyard looks like a dork. :) I wear mind proudly...and man, it's so easy to get to my AP and fastpasses!

Yep, you need the plastic pouch too. It is very easy to get the passes out, they are all together, in the same spot, in a easy to reach spot. However, you don't NEED a lanyard and pouch. For two trips we did just fine without one and did not have a problem. It is just a little added ease to the whole ticket process.

I bought lanyards with attached ID holders at Office Max that I think are GREAT. There is a clear plastic window on the front, and a little zip pocket behind it. The pocket is large enough to put my AP, room key, and Tables in Wonderland card in WITHOUT bending the corners. :thumbsup2 The strap has a sliding "toggle" so you can adjust the length, too.

DH and DS have decided they won't wear the badge holders, and it does look stuipid in photos. But it is really handy.

We alway suse them, but we also have lanyard medals that sit in front of them. We put our K2TK there, as well as fastpasses. Everything stays dry and is never ever lost.:thumbsup2

Well I am a proud Super Freak because I wear my lanyard every trip! I love it! I actually have 2 plastic pouches on mine and I keep my FP, my KTTW card, my Visa, my DL, and a little cash. I leave my purse at home when I go to WDW. Everything I need is in my lanyard or backpack! My kids have one too and it is so nice during EMH to just flash your KTTW Card and move on into line! I do keep my kids tickets during non-EMH though just in case!

I never used a lanyard but was considering buying one for my trip in Oct. I have always used a fanny pak, what is DH problem with them? I do not think either makes one look like a dork.

I might take my crossbody bag this trip instead so I can put everything I need in it p&s camera etc.

I never felt like a dork , everyone wears laynards and and some type of bag.....you look like a dork (aka a drowned rat) when you get caught in the rain without a poncho that I will have mine nicely tucked away in my fanny pak or crossbody bag so I can toss it on in a moments notice. :cool1:

I didn't use one. However, when we needed to show our ticket for every ride (extended hours - for guests staying onsite only) it would have been really nice to have.

I just got them in the mail and I think they are super cute! Thanks for the advice!

My DH is a Marine and he has worn a fanny pack/waist pack for years, and not just to WDW! He does not look like a dork, he looks prepared! I think I ordered it from some place like Cabela's or Campmor

Im a dork and so is my husband! We wear ours every trip! We even bought ones that have I:lovestrucNY on them...so we are SUPER DORKS! lol seriously though it is so much easier putting what you need in the plastice pouch and off you go no bag check at the gate and we have all we need on us!

Haha, out of all the outlandish things people wear to Disney, a lanyard would probably rate very low on the dorky scale.

Walk next to a few people wearing a Goofy hat, Jack Sparrow wig, and a birthday cake on their head and I'll bet no one will even notice your lanyard.
