Lanyard Questions

I know that a lanyard will hold pins for trading. My questions are....what are the different things that hang from them. I have seen "plastic pouches" and medal things. Do I need either of these things? I am looking for my 3 girls ages 4, 6, 9.

Also, where can I buy these? I would like to have them before we leave for disney.

disney does special things - one event I got one with the plastic thing - for my ID and tickets. another time I got one with the metal thing - DVC homecoming...

no they are not necessary...

I might call one of the outlet store in the area.

You can buy a plain lanyard and add a medalion or some lanyards come with the medallion. There are also those with a ticket holder which is nice.

From experience with my DD8, the medallions are a bit heavy, and add 10 or 12 pins, and it gets even heavier. We stopped using the medallion and many times the lanyard is in my bag until she wants to trade!

You can get them at any of the stores in the parks/DTD that sell pins, as well as other non Disney locations.

There is a Target on Rt 192 outside of WDW that has a really impressive assortment of Disney merchandise - lanyards, rain ponchos, autograph books, shirts, souveniers, etc. etc. I like checking out their selection as it is different than the things you find at WDW.
