Lansky car service with Target stop

Well by time I get off the plane and through everything it will be after 7
I've never used Lansky but the pick up time is usually the time the driver is suppose to be at the airport, not when you get in the car. You may want to confirm with them (and bring a copy in writing) that a 6:30am flight arrival would still get a grocery stop.

Just got an email back from them and they confirmed they will stop at grocery stop

which Von's would work as a grocery stop en route to the DL reosrt? i've been to target and wal-mart but both are hit and miss with the fresh fruit options

I've used Lansky's twice, the first time we stayed at the Anabella and our stop was at Von's, which was where I requested and I ASSUME they would be open early enough for a stop there if Target is closed).

The second time we stayed over off S Clementine and our stop was at Target, I requested Von's but he took us to Target, I assume bc it was closer to the hotel (there were a lot of issues with this driver, the grocery stop being the least of our issues, the other issues was his inability to install the provided car seats (which were also expired) and the lack of instructions for us to try to do it ourselves).

Anyway, if the Target is closed they should be able to provide a stop at an alternate grocery store.

I wonder if the driver you had issues with was also the same driver we had problems with on our last run - we have used them 3 times now but would not again after our last experience. No one was there to meet us, we phoned a couple of times and wonder if they forgot us. 15 minutes later a very tired man arrived and practically ran with our bags to the car. He sped through traffic at 90mph and we were thankful when slower cars got infront of us. He repeated several times that our grocery stop could only be 20 mins (we did know this!) and he also smelt bad.

All our other experiences have been great but this one journey was truly awful.

no clue, but we too will not be using them again, at least for a while. The owner did assure me that they went out and bought new car seats (since the ones they provided us were expired) but I don't trust that they will know how to install them, and my husband doesn't want to deal with flying with car seats, so we are driving for the next several years when we go with the kids. I hate the bus because it takes so dang long depending on your hotel. Our last time on the bus was in 2012 and it took over 2 hours from the time we got on the bus to the time we got dropped off...and there was no traffic, it was an evening arrival. Fingers crossed driving goes well, because if it does not, we probably will be taking a few years off from DL!

Just wondering where it says that gratuities are included?

Interesting, it used to be made very clear, but it is not there anymore. The rates look to be the same as what we got, but from what I can see, gratuity is NO LONGER INCLUDED.

I also find it interesting that they now state that the customer is responsible for installation of the car seat. I'm 99% sure that came about bc of my experience/complaint. I haven't looked at their website since last November when we had the issue with the provided car seats. And they still clearly have no clue about car seats...it states that a rear facing toddler seat is available, but no infant seats are provided...yet a rear-facing toddler seat WILL fit baby (may not fit a newborn without the insert, but would fit an older baby)

Maybe someone who has used them lately can comment on the gratuity issue - I couldn't find anything on the site but can't access my invoice on my phone

Do they have wine at Target? (silly question I'm sure) Also, what happens if we go over and are 25 minutes. We are getting lots of groceries…..

Thanks!
Yes they have wine, but if your are going in the late evening, they stop selling any booze around 11PM. We found that out when we did our shopping trip.

We've taken them a few times over the years, no issues on any trips. We've had the driver waiting for us at baggage claim each time, and grocery store stops were no issue (one took longer - about 25-30mins- due to the crowd in store, and he had no problem with it).

Our last trip was with my wife's cousin's family - who have 2 small children - in September. We were told that they were responsible to verify the car seats were installed properly - I assume not because of a specific complaint, but because of company liability. This is actually pretty common in a few places (same thing when we visited Universal in Orlando). We asked why this policy was in place, just out of curiosity, and were told it was an insurance requirement. Insurance won't pay a claim if the driver sets up the car seats. Same thing happens with bike racks on cabs, etc - it s the riders responsibility to load the bike and make sure its in securely.

EDIT - forgot to add that we were told a month ago that gratuity was included, but we always tip in addition to that as well

I can't see anything on their website but on their Facebook page they commented yesterday:

"Lansky Enterprise LLC - fka: DK's Livery ServiceYes, inclusive tip, parking, airport trip ticket fee, etc. No hidden cost"

If you wanted to make sure, I would ask them directly. https://www.facebook.com/lanskyusa/

Does anyone know what kind of car seats they use with the 5 point harness? My 45 pounder is still in a 5 point harness here at home but very few seats actually go beyond 40 pounds. Also, is the booster one with a back or a backless one?
