Okay...this trip is costing a small fortune. Would love to add a performance of Cirque du Soliel "LaNouba", but is it really worth the $$$? We have two boys ages 12 and 9, so four tix would be between $232 and $361 depending on seating category.

Feedback from those who have seen it would be appreciated :confused3 !

Thanks in Advance!

We saw it in 2004 with DDs, ages 5 & 8 at the time. We thought it was one of the highlights of our trip! :cool1: It's just soo different-it's visually stimulating-the acrobatics are amazing-again, it's unlike anything we've we've ever seen! There's also humor to it...I'd say go for it if you have the money for it! :cool1:

We're going in April based on what we've read on these boards. We've purchased the category 2 tickets also based on what we've read (sometimes you can see more because you're a bit back). Try to stay as close to the center as possible. And yea, it's pricey but I bit the bullet and booked it for our last evening.

We thought La Nouba was absolutely the most incredible show...we went in December 2004 and when it finished we both said we could sit through all over again...so we bought the DVD in the store and have watched it numerous times. My advice if you decide to go...is to arrive early...there is a pre-show and it is really funny.

Mickey&JoshNut brings up something...you can rent a DVD (do you have Netflix?) and get a better idea of what it is. Sometimes it's on the Bravo channel (I think that's channel... :confused3 ). :earsgirl:

Great idea! We have Blockbuster Online for unlimited rentals...I did watch the clips at their website and think it would be awesome in person.

I'm planning to take my son(14) during our trip next April. We've watched a few of the shows on Bravo, and he really loved it.

Anyone have a link to the seating chart? (search is down :crazy2:)

Hi!

TOTALLY worth the $$$ to see it. It was spectacular! Nothing I've seen has ever compared to it. :hyper:

We wanted to see LaNouba in April when we were there, but tickets were unavailable for the nights we were able to go. After a morning at Animal Kingdom and an afternoon at the pool we headed to Downtown Disney to wander around for the evening, on a whim we decided to see if there were any tickets available for the show that evening...it had started 5 minutes before..but they had a cancellation for 4 people, sitting on the aisle(not sure of the section)..My DH and I looked at eachother and said "I guess it was meant to be!" Out came the Visa card and we were ushered into the theatre. As other posters have said , it was the highlight of our trip. DS- 12 and DD10 loved it. Enjoy!!

We too loved it! We have it booked again for our next trip in April. Now I am hooked on Cirque, and the kids loved it too. I asked them if they wanted to go again on this trip or go to the Neverland Club. They said, "Definitely Cirque!" It's fun for the whole family, as there is something for everyone. It will totally amaze you!

We went on NYE this year (December 31, 2005). It was fabulous - well worth the money. We sat in category 2 - first row just off the aisle. Only complaint was that people who were late kept walking in front of us and stood by us til seated.

Was me, DH, DD12 - and we ALL loved it!

Absolutely worth the money. I'm looking forward to seeing it for the third time this Septemer if that tells you anything. I've seen all the Cirque shows in Las Vegas and La Nouba is by far my favorite. So I say go for it! I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

We saw the show 12/24/2005 with DS11 and DS8. They loved it and so did we. I think it is something you have to do at least once. I am not sure we'd pay the money to see the show again unless one of the different ones in Vegas.

Saw LaNouba Dec 04 with my oldest DGD. She was 8 at the time and just loved it. I am planning to see it again Oct 06 with her sister who will be eight. My DD and her dd, who will be 4, will be going with us too. We did catagory 1 seating and I think it was well worth the price. ::yes::

DH and I loved it!!!!!! It was amazing. We didn't have kids with so but there were many there and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I think if you can afford it you should go for it. :goodvibes

:earsboy: ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY PENNY. This show and all the Cirque's are amazing. We have seen La Nouba many times and you are amazed each and every time. You will be mesmerized throughout the ENTIRE show. You do NOT want it to end. The MUSIC is fabulous. I have MOST of Cirque's DVD's (buying them after each show I see) and most of their CD's in my car stereo!! FABULOUS. Have I said enough. Nevermind where you sit, the way the theater is designed all seats have a great view of the stage. Although, my fam HAS to be way way down front totally focused on everything!!! :flower:

Another family that loved it here! We did the show our last night of a two week vacation, and it was the highlight of our trip. We would see it again in June if we weren't seeing another Cirque show in Philadelphia in July.

Go for it. You won't regret it!

Normally it isn't as bad as it was NYE. Did you go to the 6 or 9:00 show? How'd you like the finale? :)

NYE was COMPLETELY sold out, and there were some guests that were split up via thier tickets that tried to sit together, which caused the problem you mentioned. :(

I'm trying to talk the fiancee into going and seeing it. I've wanted to see it for a couple of years, she's not that enthusiastic about it. She frequents this message board, so I'll show her the responses. People I know who've seen it say the same thing.

::yes:: :cool1: :earsboy:

I have been to a Cirque show in the UK and it was worth every penny. My Fiance absolutley loved it too. I can't wait to go to WDW again and see La Nouba. I hope you get chance to go and see it, ENJOY!
